colour balls & skytrak

I've read a few posts and I'm sorry if its been covered but couldn't find exactly what I'm after...

i generally use the truvis yellow/black soccer ball print on the course. i have read the skytrak does not like this but then some posts saying they are working fine. is there anyone who can elaborate on how they perform?
my question is - would the normal yellow chrome soft be ok with the skytrak or would the white version be a better option for less misread / data accuracy?
is there a distinct difference with colour and white balls?

I use yellow Bridgestone e6 balls on my SkyTrak, the people I play with use white balls. We all have the same amount of missed shots, generally putts or low thinned shots.

so realistically a solid colour ball should be ok. its more the soccer print ones to keep for the course...

I have read that Skytrak recommends white balls. I haven't tried off color balls. I have played many shots not paying attention to how the ball is placed and have placed the ball specifically with a focal point (blacked out area) and haven't noticed differing results. Personal opinion, we can get too caught up in ball placement with the Skytrak.

If you're getting a lot of missed reads then I'd say check other things first before blaming the ball. Lighting and network being my personal first. I blame most of my missed reads (very rare for me) on lighting or simply being too active before the shot and most likely triggering the cameras too early and not knowing it.

I use yellow balls whilst practicing at the range, also wear white golf shoes and never suffer from misreads. Don't pay much attention to spin as they are just range balls but the ball flights are identical unless there is wind.

When I used the yellow Bridgestone E6 balls on my Skytrak, an increased % of the time I got backspin numbers that were doubled. e.g. 10,000 backspin on what is normally 5,000. Not every time, but often enough that I decided not to use them anymore. The white B E6 does not have the same problem. The yellow appears to have an extra black printing on the opposite side, and I think the Skytrak assumes the ball made one full revolution when it sees the opposite side black print, when it actually make only a half revolution, thus doubling the backspin.
Balls that have been working well for me lately in terms of reads and durability: Bridgestone white E6, Srixon white Qstar.

Very interesting, I do not have high spin numbers other than one time a ball spun about 4 yards backwards off of a flatish green, info showed 14000 rpm +. Your comment may explain this anomaly. Sorry forgot to say yellow e6 ball

I use Both Callaway HX foam balls and normal white balls like titleist and calaway. Shots seem pretty comparable, not enough to make me not hit one or the other. I generally hit the foam balls off the tee and with high 60 degree shots or so, and normal balls with everything else. Have been fine, dont encounter any misreads or huge differences in distance.

We only use callaway Chrome Soft balls and have experimented with yellow and white balls as well as the truvis soccer pattern. I have not seen any difference between the yellow and white but the Yellow and Black soccer ball suffer from noticeable increase in misreads.

I've used every ball you can probably think of and haven't noticed a measurable difference in any. Before I started experimenting with balls, I would check my lighting and backdrop first. Also insuring that Skytrak is at the same height as your hitting surface and level would be more problematic than the color of ball your using. Just my opinion, nothing to collaborate this information other than my own experiences.
