Those little metal prongs sticking down look like they could bend right into the skytrak screen with the perfect shot too. The armour case still seems to look the best to me for taking repeatable hits. But all speculation obviously as I haven't tried any of them yet, just started taking a closer look now as my dad is gonna get one soon for his skytrak
Actually, awisnia did such a good job on his original case, we ended up partnering up to create this one. It's rock solid and doesn't interfere with Wi-Fi or shot capture.
Looks great. I'm still not convinced "metal" is the best though for such close proximity. I'd be curious to know what folks have seen happen that have shanked shots into those metal cases. It looks awesome though. Definitely should protect the SkyTrak. Other than my son knocking off the handle on the very first shot out of the box the original plastic one is doing pretty well.

Have the armour case, close to the fmj, and trust me, some of shanks from my girlfriend and friends should have killed the ST without case or with original one ! Some of us are just average golfers and I will never play on my skytrak without armor like theses ;-)
I am a little surprised there is not a upgrade from the other case. I do not have a case - do people really hit the case - do they hit with the ball or club?
Yup - it's been and incredible father-son adventure with my 12-year-old and an absolutely invaluable learning experience for him. However, it's time to get back to running my business (pbasics.com) and leave the fight-monitor case sales to the experts at SkyTrak.
SkyTrack has recently launched their own case and it looks great. It's beefy at close to an 1/8 inch of steel and it's been thoroughly tested with the benefit of actually knowing the workings of the Skytrak's cameras, trigger, flash and wifi systems. You can see the LEDs from everywhere, the usb connection is protected, and there's a handle which also catches stray rebounds. In short - it's "official" and backed by SkyTrak.
