Skytrak LED and top light flashing

I purchased the metal protection case from Skytrak and now when in TGC the top light keeps flashing and the LED will appear on my mat and then disappear. Is this an issue with the case? Maybe it is not level enough?

It is also an issue in the Skytrak range application

My guess is static. Do I have everyone's email address who has encountered this problem?

Did you all find a fix. It was working fine for me (USB/case) and mid game it's started to blink

Ok so I’ve been struggling with for a few hours. Basically as soon as I use it in usb mode and then put a power lead into my laptop, the red dot blinks. As soon as the lead is taken out, it’s all fine. It works normally in network mode with the power lead in too.

I find usb mode a hell of a lot easier and really need the laptop powered.

Has anyone found a fix for this?

I know this is an old thread, but I have the same issue. Works great when its not in the case, but as soon as its in the case the red light blinks. I will tinker with Direct Mode today, but have used USB up until now. At one point Seth mentioned static - was it even determined that was the problem and is there any other suggestions?

Some guys have had success wrapping the end of the USB cable in electrical tape to shield it from the metal case.

Good idea, I was thinking about sealing the case itself if it was static.
