    Best Screen?

I have an AllSportsSystems screen currently and am not happy with it. Good image, but it stretches in the hitting area, so now I have a 3' circle of stretched cloth which is very annoying when trying to watch a movie or TV. Especially when trying to watch a putt. Any recommendations?

My low-budget solution: I use a heavy duty 10x10 cargo net ($65 on eBay) and a king-size white flat bed sheet ($15 at Target) over the net, held on with 2" spring clamps around the top and sides. The sheet is remarkably durable if you make sure it's hanging against the net with no space between.

Interesting idea mate. How many sheets have you gone through?

Still on my first sheet, 3 weeks and probably around 1,500 shots into it and no sign of significant wear or stretching.

I too use a couple of sheets over my $48 net and so far it works great with a decent picture in my low light room. And when it wears out or gets dirty I'm not gonna care a bit to make my dogs bed a bit more comfortable and put a new screen (sheet) up and start over!

I use a painters drape from Homedepot. I cant see Jamie Sadlowski breaking these heavy canvas back drops.

      These:

I have been hitting in to it for 2 years, and it looks new. Well they look loke a rough potatoe sack to start with.

Tim, do you project onto this painters drape also and if so, how is the image quality?

Thanks Tim. Any chance you might be able to take some pictures of your set up, showing the front, side and back. Curious as to how your frame looks/sets up. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Tim, do you have a net behind the painters tarp? And you're hitting real balls into it? Just curious. Sounds like a nice cheap option I may look into when my impact screen gives out. Hopefully not for a while.

Before using a white bed sheet, I used up two of the Home Depot heavy duty painters tarps. The bed sheet has lasted far longer already. Both tarps just suddenly ripped without warning, usually from a more lofted club (PW or GW) with lots of spin. Too much friction I think.

Other advantages of sheet: brighter, $15 vs $25, much lighter weight so only small clips to attach it to net.

Only advantage of tarp was larger size at 9x12 ft.
