I will try and keep the description brief, and note that ST Seth has been helping me along the way with a couple issues over the past few months. That said, I'd also like to ask some other opinions. I currently have my hitting mat and net in my garage and connect via direct mode or wifi to my 3 month old ipad pro. Now, my one remaining porblem is being able to connect into network mode in the garage. My house is pretty good size, but have a professional AV guy who has set up my whole system and . I have a main router downstairs in the central part of the house and a hard wired access point directly over the garage in my theatre room. I have had virtually zero issues in direct mode, just problems with network in the garage.
AV guy came last week and we pulled almost 90 mbps on 3 bar signal in the garage (on the skytrak), while I am able to pull close to 200 mbps in the living room. I was able to connect into network mode right off the bat (in the garage) and proceeded to pull up WGT to play a couple test holes. In short, once in the WGT sim, I began to experience repeated mis/no reads and repeated instances of the WGT app saying that it was reconnecting to the skytrak device. It literally took close to 20 min to play 2 holes before deciding to shut it down.
So, that brings me to the questions:
1. Does this sound purely like spotty wifi? I am going to have an access point hardwired down in the garage in the next week or so, but I find it odd that the access point directly above me isn't providing enough signal strength.
2. Could it be a skytrak device problem?
3. Anything else I should check/troubleshoot?
Currently running Apple router and access point. My neighbor is recommending this https://store.amplifi.com/products/amplifi-mesh-system as he said it has cured all of his wifi issues. Not sure if it will work with the skytrak or not.
