Has anyone purchased the certified pre-owned from skytrak? They are $500 cheaper on the site. Wounder if what the downsides are to it or if I should just by new.

Had mine (certified pre-owned) for almost a year. No issues. To me, it either works or it doesn't work. And a product like this doesn't really have wear and tear, other than maybe the battery, so I wasn't too worried about it.

Just got mine today! Surprisingly UPS had treated it rather poorly during shipping and both boxes were beat up bad. I shook the unit and it didn't make any rattling so I figured all was good. Paired it to my phone and it works fine! Going to the range tomorrow to test it out! Pretty excited and will keep you posted! Hard to pass up at $500 off and a free case to boot!

I purchased a Certified factory refurbished unit last month. It looked perfect and runs fine. Plus....when I checked my account on sky golf, it shows that I have 6 months of warranty on it. Basically, at the price I paid for the refurbished unit....I got the game improvement package and metal case for free. Pretty easy decision I thought.

I've looked and nothing. Chatted with them on Thursday New Skytraks will be on sale in September...for that kind of coin I'd like a little warranty other than the six months on a certified factory refurbished and no extended warranty available.

What did they say about the sale in September? Is it the usual $300 off -- or something more compelling?Originally posted by NVONEPUTT View PostI've looked and nothing. Trying to make a call in buying now or waiting. I think I am ok with the 6 month warranty (which would be doubled by my CC). If the unit breaks -- it should either DOA or have issues early on I would think. It's all solid state after all right?
Edit: Just checked (and it took some looking) but it looks like the new units only have a 6 month (or 25K strike) warranty.Last edited by qwiklap; 08-28-2017, 03:57 PM.

When you say new... do you mean the same model or will they have a different model in September?Originally posted by NVONEPUTT View PostI've looked and nothing.
