Ok, tried the new pro v’s and got better spin, but still low. During one session I was using spray powder on my club face to check impact.... cleaned the grooves and the spin rates came back to normal.

most of tonight’s session, the top ready light kept flashing intermittently, very annoying. It does it when I’m not even standing on the mat.

shots are still showing pulls. I’m only 6 feet away from the net and consistently see the ball impact my target line . If the shot was a pull, I would see it impact on my body line or a little left of that.

I lined myself up about 10 degrees right and hit one and it showed as a straight shot. I think the ST needs to go back. Something is definitely wrong with it between the alignment issue and the ready light flashing most all the time. I will contact them tomorrow. I just hope this doesn’t become a big issue. I’m worried that the certified pre owned units are just bad units resold.

i really like this thing and if I can get one that works right I would even buy the $100 plan each year.

I think that is the right call. Be sure to mention Seth as he said when processing your return, should help speed up the process. I think you will be very happy once you get your correctly working unit.

Here's what I've found - I bought the fmj via ebay. I like it a lot and am not knocking it - BUT I noticed w/the 2 screws on the bottom holding it onto the st unit - it turned the skytrak unit inside it and made my shots go left. So although my fmj looked straight - the skytrack was slightly crooked inside it. I removed one of the screws from the bottom and re-adjusted. Seems to me some of the alignment methods used by some people are sketchy... I personally believe the best alignment method is to hit a soft, like 20 yard chip to the center of the screen. After you hit the chip - stare at the screen where the ball hit and see if that's where the ball goes. If not - adjust the unit left/right. Keep doing this until the skytrak is showing your pitches right where you hit them on the screen. After I did this - my experiences with JNPG were much better and I even started to sink a bunch of putts. If you think about it - no matter what your lasers say or the fmj alignment stick says - this would be the most accurate way of doing it.

My FMJ was purchased direct from Skytrak and has 3 screws to hold the unit in place. It literally can’t move once secured. I contacted support today and will send it back to have them look at it. I might just pay the difference for a new unit. We’ll see what they say.

I sent the unit back after talking with a lady from customer service. I told her about the laser light turning off and on constantly and the left alignment problem. They sent it back with a note saying there was nothing wrong with it. Tonight I tried it out and the laser light kept flashing on and off. It was impossible to get a shot to read and when they did they showed pulls on good shots. I was so twisted because of the laser going out, my swing was all over the place. It was like someone screaming in the middle of your backswing. I played around with it and tried it in network mode which stopped the laser from going out but got a bunch of no reads.

Man, that is really disappointing to read - I'm sure you are frustrated. Is it possible to maybe take a picture of your setup? In the meantime, also send me your name, email, and serial number and I will see if I can arrange a replacement unit for you to try.

Thanks Seth. The next day I tried using the unit in network mode and it worked fine. The top laser light stayed constant and very minimal no- reads. I also took the unit to the range and found I was pulling the shots, but not as far left as ST thought it was. In direct mode the top light was intermittent. I don’t plan on using the ST at the range other than to check its accuracy, so as long as it works in network mode, i’m Ok, but just worry that something will go wrong out of warranty. I updated my I phone today , so maybe that will help. I will pm you my contact info.

Well, you paid $2k for a product so it shouldn't just get you by. I'll get something sorted for you.
