  • question about Simulation Golf like TGC on Skytrak

Does a shot from the rough get penalized anywhere near real condition, if so how does one know how deep and what kind of rough you are in? Does a shot from an uneven lie get affected as in real life and do you have to compensate for it?

When you write ”like tgc” i assume you mean sim software in general.

i am a newbie to JNPG but the short answer to all your questions is YES.

The software will reduce the distance and spin rate. Just my opinion here - sim golf is NOT like real golf - it is close. I use SIM golf for two reasons - It is fun and it allows me to swing everyday I do NOT use it to know my distances - that is for real golf.

I am not a great golfer so perhaps if I was a better golf my distance indoors would be the same as outdoors but I lose about 20 percent indoors based on the club. The good news is I went to losing about 2 to 3 golf balls a round and shooting around 95 last year to this year to losing at most 1 ball a round and average score of 88. Next year my goal is 85 and NO TRIPLES.

Please note - the lost golf balls is from outside golf...I lose very few in indoors. HEHEHE

According to my experience, Skytrak provides a very similar distance to CARRY as when playing outside. The total distance affects many factors and can not be exactly simulated. However, for good golf it is very important to know CARRY's distance of each golf club.
