  • Skytrak GS10 Studio

Newbie here. Looked throughout the Skytrak forum here, didn't see any reference to the GS10 studio. Seems a decent price for a complete simulator package. Skytrak reviews appear pretty positive overall so I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on this GS10 package.

Anyone buy one and if so, your impressions?

I looked at the GS10 - I think you are really buying from these guys - https://www.golfsimulatorguys.com/

I went with the guys instead http://www.allsportsystems.com/golf-simulator-setup.php

I think the GS10 is an overall product product, but it is almost twice the cost. I am very happy with the choice almost a year later.

I bought from All Sports system as well. Super bay 12' wide. No black out surround.
Very happy as well from easy to deal with to product, a great choice.

Whiskey, did you buy all your accessories, e.g., mat, projector, etc., through allsportsystems? There's so many different types of mats out there I wasn't sure if they offered quality mats. Regarding the projector, I understand there are wifi HD projectors out there that don't need a cable. Not sure if anyone's tried one those yet. Also, do you have your projector off to the side or right in the middle (assuming you have a floor mount)? Looks like a pretty good size hump in the way when taking iron shots, etc.

Got the Super bay 12' also. I found "blackout" black fabric on a net search and got 20 yds, 4' wide for about $120...wrapped it up with carpet tape and zip ties. Everything else bought elsewhere...DuraPro mats

I hadn't seen that one, I'll check it out; thanks.

Hey Dan, I bought the basic cage set up from them with a couple of upgrades. One being the screen upgrade, and the other being the side right tension kit.
The mat I made from pieces bought at a local driving range at the end of the year. They had the 4 x 4 standard stance mat for $25 each (bought 2 of those) and 1' x 4' fiberbuilt strips for $30 each.
I bought 2 of the fibrebuilt strips and broke them down to the basic 1' by 1' components then built a really good strike mat out of the best components (they snap together). Worked great, at least 4 of the components were practically untouched. The projector I had from before, it's not great but will do until i decide on which short throw unit I'm going to buy. I'm waiting to see what TGC2 looks like before buying a new projector.

I will add in as well. I purchased everything from all sports except the mat I hit from Meaning, the updated screen, black wrapper, projector and their terrashield. For the mat I went with the country club elite matt.

Thank you Whiskey, that's very helpful. I'm contemplating buying some of the other components like the mat, etc., outside of allsportsystems as well.
