  • Can't reset Skytrak Network Mode and can't connect to any mode

    Hey guys,

I set Skytrak into network mode yesterday, turn it on today and it's stuck trying to connect to the network but never does (light blinking yellow). So I've tried to reset the network with the button underneath per https://clubsg.skygolf.com/content/f...tructions.html with no avail. Definitely clicking the little button, lights never change colors even after 30 seconds. Can't connect direct, can't connect via usb which I was able to previously to this...I'm going to leave the Skytrak on to hopefully kill the battery then try again tomorrow.

Try cycling power to your internet router first and then see if the Skytrak will connect. If it doesn't and you want to reset the Skytrak, turn off your internet router and then turn on the Skytrak and reset with the button underneath the unit. For some reason, the Skytrak hugs on to the router too tightly and won't reset if its trying to connect to it.

    Good luck!

What he said ^^. The other way to do it is to walk down the street outside of the range of your network, then turn the unit on - it will revert to direct mode because it can't find your network. Then take it back inside and connect directly to it. Then after connected, go to the device connections and select direct mode - you will see the unit reboot and it will now be in direct mode priority. After that, you should be able to use in direct mode or reprogram it in network mode. I would try cycling power on router first though, as several users have reported that worked for them.

This worked thanks guys! Once I shut off the router(s) in the house it stopped looking for a connection and I was able to reset the unit.

I'm glad it worked out for you. When that happened to me, I was on the phone with tech support for an hour and they finally had me send it in. Nothing wrong with it and it still had the same symptoms when I got it back. Stumbled on the solution when I noticed nothing on my 2.4G channel was connecting (I normally use the 5G for everything but sim golf). Def not in the handbook.

Having the exact same issue. I have a dual band and recently changed my internet. I noticed that my old WiFi network still shows up on my phone but can’t connect to it as I have a completely different setup now.

I took the skytrak to work and was able to connect to direct mode. I got it home and the exact same thing happened - flashing yellow. Can someone give me an easy to follow instructional on what to do? I can’t believe it’s this complicated to get this thing going.

Cool-Breeze, I’d suggest forgetting those networks completely within your phone and then re-establish them. Blinking yellow is searching for a network.

From there, hard reset the skytrak, then restart and search for the skytrak and connect directly with your phone.

Then from direct mode, update the network credentials and try your network mode.

Good luck, you have an entire forum ready to help.

Thanks so much for the information. I thought I might have to send my unit in, but this post saved me. I turned both routers off, but it still wouldn’t reset. I had to also turn off both of my network expanders, and then I could reset my Skytrak.
