  • JNPG vs GC2 for Skytrak

Which sim works best with skytrak? Also, I'd like to use my laptop, but it only has integrated graphics. Which one would be least demanding for the graphics?

I think you mean TGC? GC2 is a launch monitor. Your options for Skytrak are E6, TGC, JNPG, and CG3D. I've had E6 and TGC. The practice areas are better in E6 and you can select different tee boxes. You only get 15 courses and adding new courses is expensive. TGC is awesome I have no complaints. Tons of courses and you can search for specific lengths you want to play. I would like to see a few things added to TGC2 but a solid product. I am loving the online tour. I recently joined and wish I would have done it a long time ago. I look forward to my rounds every week. I don't have any experience with JNPG. I've seen a few guys here use it.

I had an old laptop laying around a Toshiba Satellite C55t I believe. It has an Intel HD 5500 integrated graphics card. I tried loading TGC on that before I bought I gaming computer. It runs fine however, I'm not projecting in HD. I think it's worth a shot trying it on the laptop you have. You may be satisfied with the results

Hi Wesquire i own both TGC and JNPG and would say that JNPG is a bit less demanding however both are really meant to be used with a decent GPU, also the course that you use will greatly influence the performance, lots of trees will equal lower FPS, if i were you i'd buy both TGC and JNPG from steam and then see which one runs better, they aren't that expensive.

Just to be clear, buying TGC from Steam is not a prerequisite and there are minimum requirements to run all sim packages. Integrated graphics are below minimum for all of them.

I have a good laptop. It is a Microsoft Surface book that's only ~1 year old. Sounds like JNPG would work on it?

The graphics card is probably going to hold you back from most sim software. A test site like the one at Game Debate "test my pc" might help you determine what sims, if any, you can run.

I think the only SIM I could play with a crappy card was the creative 3d golf demo. And not at a very good resolution by any means

Downloaded JNPG on steam. Wasn't working well so I refunded it.
