E6 demo

Just finishing up 30 day demo of e6 Wade Hampton. I enjoyed playing it tee to green pitching and chipping was good, but putting with skytrak was a joke. The course was great good graphics if I could putt with skytrak would like to use it. ? Has anyone using skytrak figured out how to putt with e6.

I have a skytrak also. I went with the one year rental of E6 software. I couldn't hole a putt to save my life. Always played with 10 foot gimmes. I ended up buying TGC and putting is MUCH better. I can actually make putts now. This might be a dumb question but it helped me. Do you have something you align with to know you are putting straight?

Yes I know l’m lined up. Have a 1 ft wide putting strip with hole next to screen, 9.6 from skytrak light. I cover hole to putt long putts ball will strick screen. Not all the time, but some times a putt that will go right over hole will miss 5 to 6 feet right or left. I think that skytrak has trouble reading putts because of slow ball speed and Hla of + or - 2 degrees.I think skytrak is a great ball tracker for the cost. It just wasn’t made to track ball speeds this low. Thanks for your in put. For the most part the e6 play was very nice.

It was worth a shot. I agree E6 is great until you get the green. Too bad TGC doesn't have a demo version.

If you have issues that bad with putting using the Skytrak, it must be the E6 software. I putt on my Skytrak every single day and it works pretty darn good, but I use a different sim. Maybe not perfect, but I'm putting across a bumpy mat, too. I have no complaints about putting with my Skytrak. Just my $.02.

I guess I am on the odd site - I find putting to be great in e6 - it helps a lot of you turn on the option to see the ball path.

I think skytrak does a great job of tracking full shots, may give a bad read 1 time out of a hundred shots. I love my skytrak use allmost every day. I have read on this forum that there is a patch for TGC to make the putts go straight that it reads with in 1.5 degrees. This will make putting better,just try to get distance right. Distance is not easy for me in e6 setup putting station to get back swing and throw swing the same still had distance problems on the practice green. May be I’am just not very good putter. I just let the computer do the putting. Not trying to give skytrak or e6 a bad rating like both.
