Getting more misreads lately

I have been seeing more mishits lately. Maybe one in ten shots. Sometimes multiple times in a row. It looks like the unit picks up the hit but then the laser just comes back with nothing recorded. (I noticed this always seems to happen on my best shots ).

Previously I was only getting a mishits about every 30 shots or so. Does anyone have any ideas why this may be happening.

I couple of things I have tried:

At first I thought it might be the network so I switched to the USB connection.

I also tried adjusting lighting. (I'm actually not sure but is brighter better or do I want a dimmer light?)

Generally I hit right off the laser except for wedges which I put slightly in front of the dot and driver which I put slightly behind the dot. I am seeing the issue with high and middle irons.

I had this happen too. It coincided with a new mat I purchased (FiberBuilt FlightDeck) and realized I needed to adjust the height of the ST. Also, when I made the adjustment I noticed lots of dust on the ST where the cameras are. After cleaning the dust off I didn't have anymore 'no reads'. I hope you figure it out.

The indoor lighting (or lack thereof) has no impact on Skytrak, it would work the same in the dark.

Here are the list of culprits I can think of:

1. Dust/dirt covering view (as mentioned)
2. Related to height of ST (due to new mat etc)
3. Interference (white club, white shoes, reflective objects in background)
4. Network (already addressed)

In this particular instance, given that mid/long irons are the issue, it seems that the problem has to do with 2.

Mine has been doing this a lot lately as well, and it seemed more prevalent when I had friends over to play on JNPG. It never seems to happen much when I play alone. I think my issue, and yours as well, could be the height of the ST as mentioned above. Because I'm a lefty and my friends are all righty, when we play together we are moving the Skytrak back and forth. In the course of a couple of rounds the alignment legs in my plastic Skytrak case will rotate and vastly change the alignment of the unit. It will get quite out of whack. I just added some teflon tape to the threads of the adjustment legs and I'm hoping that solves the problem.
