SkyTrak Advertisement - NO DELAY

I find it interesting that I just watched an Ad for Skytrak that shows a golfer taking a swing and an IMMEDIATE tracer showing on the screen (No delay between shot and feedback on the screen).

Perhaps this is "Skytrak 2.0"???

I use a later iPad Pro model and Direct Connect. The result display was almost immediate with very little delay.

Can you do a video showing "almost immediate"? Others have stated this, but when you actually watch a video it's longer than you think.

I use a 3 year old MacBook Pro running Windows 10 in the Bootcamp partition in Direct Connect mode and hardly see any delay (less than 1 sec for sure), by the time I look at my computer screen, the tracer is already there.

I took the commercial as 'Hollywood' special effects. I have an iPad Pro directly connected and still have a good 5 seconds or so delay. I actually don't mind the delay, it gives me time to make sure my ball isn't going off somewhere. Also, I enjoy guessing at how my shot will develop based on feel.

That doesn't sound right to me,
my Air 2 gives me 3 sec max delay in network mode, ipad pro delay should be 1.5 to 2 sec not 5.
Maybe someone here can diagnose what the cause of your delay is.

We debated on that, but at the end of the day, there's only so much you can fit into 30 seconds (flight is even sped up). Delay is still the same IRL...that's "Hollywood" baby

Exactly as i stated above. This is what creates confusion, people saying almost immediate and yet it's 3-4 seconds and then newbies expecting one thing and getting another. There is a definitive difference on strike vs shot to show time on ST vs GC2 or protee or even optishot.

If you don't like the 3-5 second delay I would recommend a GC Quad. I believe its about 10x the base cost of the ST.

I guess it’s not a technical challenge in SkyTrak, ie hardware issue. I wouldn’t be surprised if a future SkyTrak software release can cut the delay several fold.

That's quite the jump lol. We all want a Quad, only the few lucky ones can afford to spend that much coin on a launch monitor

Jwheels9876 I agree it's quite the jump and we yes all want Quads. I am not that rich, so I will be happy with the price of the ST and the 3-5 delay. :-)

Me either unfortunately. Someday we will have a machine that does everything for under 5k with the precision of a quad.just a matter of time hopefully and we'll all have access to the best technology at an "affordable" price

@Ryan_luan@yahoo.com Our fitter said his was about 12K. Not sure if that was used or discounted. He had a few attachments with it.

He did tell me he regretting not buying the skytrak to get started (year 1 - 1 1/2). He believes after seeing our setup that he could've fitted 90% of his clients. He also gives a fair amount lesson.

I know there is packages for the GC Quad, but for the price point. You can't beat ST. The game improve options have helped me greatly. I live near the DC area. The weather here can't make up it's mind, so guys are stuck not being able to practice. For me I am grooving my swing for 100 yards and in or playing a random 3.

I use the 3-5 delay to pick up the ball. :-)
