  • SkyTrak simulator software - online multiplayer

Sorry, I think this question is so basic, that no one has ever asked it before online! At least I can’t really find an answer.

    1) Which simulation software available for the SkyTrak allows you to play directly against a friend online (i.e. both on separate SkyTraks in different locations)? Preferably matchplay?

    2) Is it possible to play simultaneously to speed up play?

    3) Which software allows local multiplayer, and which allows the players to play off different tees (so I can play against my son on the same SkyTrak)?

    Great forum.

    Thanks,

    Dan.

Jack Nicklaus Perfect golf will do everything you are asking except simultaneous play.

TGC allows multiplayer but all on the same tees and not simultaneous play.

    Both are good programs.

    WGT I know nothing about.

I use JNPG with Skytrack and am very happy with it. It does everything you are asking except for simultaneous play. Hop on the JNPG train and come join us for some fun scrambles that go on every night. Enjoy your skytrack.

        Thanks guys,

Does anyone know if the other simulators (Trugolf, WGT, Creative Golf, and Fitness Golf) offer these options?

        Dan.

CG3D - local multiplayer; different tees for all players (depending on the course up to 6 different tees - junior, lady, amateur, PRO lady, PRO and PRO Champion)

WGT is only one player at a time, TruGOLF allows more than one player locally only and different tees. One item you did not ask for which I think is a cool feature is GHOST players. TGC offers this. Let say you wish to play course but no one is around you can choose the course in TGC and pick a player who has played before, called a ghost and compete against them. You can also compete against yourself if you have played that course before. JNPG you can also tee it up against your self if you have recorded the round.

          Thank you,

So the only software which provides local multiplayer, online multiplayer, AND different tees for different players is JNPG?

Anybody know about Fitness Golf (that looks like the cheapest option)?

          Dan.

Hey Dan, couple things I forgot to mention. If you like watching NBC and CBS Live broadcast golf they are now featuring JNPG as the simulation software when they do the "virtual hole" and it looks amazing also the online tour they have for JNPG is really fun and well run. Just a bit more info in case you needed it.

Don't mean to highjack; I am only able to use WGT due to only having iOS. I am considering looking into a gaming PC and another simulator option. Do any of the other sims allow you to play on Augusta National?

Yes, both TGC and JNPG have Augusta. TGC it's named Magnolia National and on JNPG it's Georgia Pines.

JNPG is by far the best solution for what you're asking. Online scrambles, skin's, hazard tourneys, stroke play, match play and more. Different tees, including kids tees if your son is not ready for the shorter regulation tees yet. Courses are fantastic as mentioned above, they do the PGA broadcast flyover seen each week on TV.

one of TGC biggest shortcoming is the lack of extra tees which will be remedied in TGC 2019 out this winter. They have tournaments each week but they may be a bit long distances for a 10 year old kid I'm guessing.

those are the only 2 options IMO. The other software's just lack in one area or another and for the $ i wouldn't bother with them honestly.

JNPG has a course that is very similar called Georgia Pines.

THey do the flyovers, but do you actually get to play those courses that are used for the flyovers?

Most of them you don't have the official versions available but alot are done by guys using Lidar data. I've never played any of them IRL so I'm just assuming they're pretty spot on just judging by watching the pros play them week to week.
