ill start off by saying I’m not a great golfer but I’m generally consistent when playing on a course and I play at least twice a week excluding the winter. Is there a process with the skytrak where you can say hit 100 shots with your sw, pw, 9, 8, 7, etc to see what my sim distances are? I’ve downloaded some of the manuals but I’m not finding much.

If you enter your club on the practice mode you can then see averages. Another helpful tool is the bag mapping. It will tell you what club to hit and then give you your distances -
I just tried the bag mapping this morning. It lets you select your clubs, how many shots you want to hit, and of those shots how many you want to count.
Afterwards it shows you what your gap is between clubs and your dispersions, along with average carry yardages.

Yes, the bag mapping feature is great. Note that you can choose to take the best x of y shots. This helps you determine the yardage of your clean shots. An average of all shots can lead you to "head in the over, feet in the freezer is just right" results. In other words, no shots actually go the "average". Clean ones to farther, and bad ones go shorter.
Skytrak range results can be exported to a spreadsheet. If you are good with spreadsheets and are keen on stats, you can do lots of analysis. I haven't gone to deep into it yet, other than for the driver. I hit 100 shots on the skytrak range (over 5 sessions), and exported it to Excel. I then calculated my offline tendencies, including standard deviation. Now I can make calculated strategy decisions such as "in order to keep risk of hitting OB right to under 5%, I need to aim 3 degrees (or 15 yards) left of center of fairway etc."Comment

Great stuff. I’m going to try this out tomorrow. Is there anyway to import or configure this information into TGC? I have yet to play a full round or against anyone and I’m trying to get used to the controls, ie, aim, hit and then switch to the next club. Once you know your sim averages can you setup TGC to select the most likely club you would hit if you are a certain distance away. Obviously you may not use that club but in my case if I’m 155 - 170 out it would auto select a 6 iron.
In addition is there a way and I think I’ve seen this on you tube but I can’t find the video of having the sim game displayed on my screen and then hanging the skytrk on my monitor so I can keep track of all shots and distance to build a better DB of your shots and averages? Figure that’s a lot to ask for but I’m still trying to figure out the limits.Comment
