  • Skytrak Set up - 2 Red lights and not connecting

Trying to get the Skytrak set up and following the instructions to set up the connection - I cannot get unit connected to the WIFI.

Ive installed the Sky trak app onto my Asus laptop. charged the unit overnight (as per instructions), turned on the sky trak Unit, changed WIFI to the sky trak WIFI connection.

Its saying connected but no internet. The 2 Red LEDs are not changing and the App is still showing as not connected.

Ive unistalled the App and resinstalled but no joy - any help or advice?

I would suggest starting over from scratch and pulling down the manual from here https://www.skytrakgolf.com/support/user-documentation

is the ASUS computer reading not internet access? Can you hard wire the laptop. If not, I would say you have a hot fix that is causing your laptop from internet access. I had this occur before. The last time it occurred I just ran a cable from router to asus computer.

I also believe the skytrak unit the 2nd button staying red means it cannot find the wi fi network. A blinking yellow I think means it found but cannot login. I had the blinking yellow issue before. I resolved it from allowing my DHCP addresses. I limited them when I setup the router on purpose years ago. To many idevices setup since then.

just saw your photo. I do believe your problem is no internet access on your PC. The skytrak has to reach out to the internet to get your license files. Why skytrak cannot add a small storage and keep them there is beyond me. Keep a TTL of 10 days and refresh while being used NOT at login time. Also, why skytrak every time I have to update the app does it loses my username and password.

Managed to get the connection - rebooted everything basically and brought the unit from the garage into the house.

Connection is established - now its not recognising my username and password

Yes - Managed to fix it by bringing it indoors closer to the router and uninstalling and restarting everything from the beginning.

            Got there in the end.

Good to hear. It shouldn't need to be that close (I often connect to mine in the other room at the office). But what that Wi-Fi list is showing is that it sees the SkyTrak unit Wi-Fi signal but it knows that it can't reach the internet if connected to that 'network' (which is correct). You don't need internet to connect the unit, even the first time. But you will need to open the app connected to the internet in order to log in the first time.

penrose Whenever the app is open with internet, we go ahead and pull (and store) the latest license file info for use in the event that you don't have internet when connecting the device.
