What should I use to see/hear my online friends when playing a game?

I see players using webcams for video/audio when playing against their friends. What do you use? I'm playing TGC, guessing I'd have to play it in windowed mode to be able to see a chat window ? thanks for your replies....

Honestly you are probably better off running TGC in windowed mode with maximum screen size. For me windows starts acting funny in full screen and tends to interrupt the graphics.

Regarding audio client I believe most people use either Skype or Discord. Discord is cool because it runs from a web browser if you don't want to install an app.

I like Discord as well. You can use the live audio to chat. I run it via my phone

thanks for the replies! Great community here that is so helpful. This is the only place I have ever given advice on because I have received so much from others. I can probably figure it out - but I downloaded discord and was wanting to see/hear my buddy on the screen w/TGC. I notice a lot of people have a small square on their TGC that has video of their opponent - just wondering how they got that square embedded on the TGC screen.
