Today I put a nasty dent on my wall, thank god my wife wasn't home. I was horrified. I have two nets, one Pro Advanced triangle and another one on top of it. Well, Pro Advanced has some gaps where the ball went and there was a hole in the other net. Immediately after that I stopped swinging with my driver. I need to buy a good quality net. I looked into The Net Return, but spending $ 500-700 for net seems a bit high. I see there are 10'x10' net for $ 75-100 bucks. I am trying to figure out what are your experience and if you can share, I would greatly appreciate it. I don't plan to put a impact screen b/c that's not wife approved quite yet!

There are a lot of good net alternatives as others have posted, but honestly, the Net Return is fantastic. It really does put the ball right back to you and is super-easy to setup and take down.
I can't believe you got by with a dent...our walls in the office looked like swiss cheese

Seth, you should post a picture of your office! Seriously though I'm scared to hit my driver again until I get a good net. I am not a high speed hitter at all, 85-95 mph range. My son was home but he was playing video game, otherwise he would've told his mom. I am in trouble as it is for converting one room into golf room. I need to get good at fixing dry wall with patch soonLast edited by halekala; 11-27-2018, 03:17 PM.

I have the Net Return and do like it but for some reason I seem to wear holes into the netting pretty quickly. I managed to punch a ball through the net and bust my garage window after about 11 months of use. The good news is their return policy is great and they sent me a replacement.
My solution was that I ordered one of their additional rectangle nets for $40 and hooked it onto the main net. It looks ugly but I'm still punching holes through it as well.

I also have the Net Return (mini version). Works extremely well but I also wore a hole in mine in under a year (I saw it before a ball ever went through). They replaced netting no questions asked but I’m guessing they may not do that the second time around.
I think the extra piece in the contact zone is a wise investment as it’s pretty cheap and would take almost all the wear. It says not available for my mini but I’ve considered ordering anyway and finding a way to make it work.

Ive zip tied cotton tee shirts in the hitting zone to save my nets. I haven't found a net I couldn't wear out. Currently I have one net with the cotton in the hitting zone and 2 patched up nets backing it up just in case I fire a shot through. A ball flying loose in the basement at over 150 mph is terrifying!
The cotton tee shirts hold up real well and are quiet.
I would like to find a real heavy net to hit into but haven't found one yet. That costco net doesn't look like it would last very long. I read some of the reviews on it and that seemed to be a problem with it.

This is eye opening indeed. I do agree that net will eventually wear out after using it nearly every day in winter months. I need to start checking the net before I start to play. Double netting has to be the way to go or put a damn mattress behind which may be quite ugly option. T-shirt, I never thought of that one! I will post pictures of my holes tonight.

Hitting net is black. Backup nets are white.
Those are cotton towels. I use to use those but now just use 2 cotton tee shirts. Double the edges a couple times and make a hole just big enough to put a zip tie through it and connect it to the net. The t shirts last quite awhile and most importantly with that set up I haven't had any projectiles to dodge. If a shot gets through the back up net stops it and I then repair the hole with some heavy string and tie it shut. You can see in my white back up netting all the pink string repairs.
