    ES16 price

    HI guys

I see the ES16 now sells for $3995.

If this thing works indoors, or if they can get it to work indoors, that's not a bad price for ball and club data, is it?

Skytrak version 2 could maybe included club and ball data for $3995 - (You listening Rapsodo).

Could this be why Foresight has taken over Red chain software, Trackman taken over JNPG, E6 developing online stuff, and why these companies are trying to establish subscription based schools, and trying to lock down software.

Maybe trackmans, flightscopes, foresights hardware doesn't really cost that much to manufacture? Would explain the foresight, milk it while you can, pricing policies.

The problem with software is that given a little time, smart guys out there always hack it, chip it or mode it some how.

I think the cameras in our smart phones will soon be able to track golf balls etc and people will just download an app and use their phone as a launch monitor.

Levv golf just the start of it in my opinion.

Whats your view of the future of launch monitors in the next 5 years?

    regards

club data (whilst not pure measurement) has been displayed in previous skytrak versions. i do believe it will come out as a finished version at some stage next year (4.0)?.... i would love to see a version 2, but if not... even an add on like HMT... plugs into the micro usb port on the unit and then the HMT has a port which can be plugged to the pc.. hopefully faster processing. im sure people would pay 1K for it.... i would.

      Hi Frankie

Yes, i have the club data beta, and use it on my PC, use the current 3.3 versions on Ipad Pro.

I absolutely love the beta, don't use it that much since i know what numbers i hit, but its fantastic when i do decide to do a club data session.

This is also why i wouldn't bother spending big money on an HMT (once i know my numbers I get bored and wouldn't use it - with stickers and all that jazz.)

I love the idea of using machine learning aswell because given time this could become very very accurate and could be included in the standard Skytrak 1 for club data.

Skytrak version 2 could be a working ES16 that includes measured club data for $3995 price mark.

Ball data and sim play really satisfies my golf addiction.

The club data is nice when I'm club fitting myself or baffled by some shot i couldn't pull off on the course (like trying to hit a low hook with ball below my feet lie with a left to right wind coming across my left shoulder) Attack angles, dynamic loft angles etc... help to understand what the club needs to do at impact to hit the shot.

Yes i'd pay 1K to 2k too..................lets keep dreaming for now.

      regards
