    New SkyTrak owner

Could you guys recommend some set up stuff for me. I just bought a skytrak, and I am looking to find an easy way to hook this up for my son to start using. I would like to add projector and all that stuff in a month or two, but want to get it up and running by the weekend for him to use.
Can you recommend the best projector, and PC to run this off.
    Thanks in advance

You can get away with just an iphone or ipad to start. If you go with sim software you will need a good computer with a really good graphics card. Projector is either the benq short throw or optoma GT1080. You need to see which will fit your setup better, pros and cons for both.

Recommend you run network mode if you're in a 2.4ghz wifi zone. Less no reads by far. You'll still have to connect once via either direct or USB cable to put it into network mode in the app.

App runs fine on crappy hardware on pc, it's only for TGC that you need decent graphics card...

You can also run the SkyTrak app from an Android tablet or phone.

So if you basically have any tablet / phone within the last 3 years, you should be able to run the SkyTrak app just fine. You can also directly connect the SkyTrak to your device (aka Direct Mode) - you do not need to be in Network or USB mode to use the software (e.g., you can go take it to the range).

I took a look at the SkyTrak app on my iphone and it became obvious that they did not make a version for the small screen. So, in my case, some sort of microscope of super powerful cheaters would be required to actually use it! Maybe if you knew exactly what you were doing you could navigate it, but I wouldn't count on reading the text. Maybe I'm missing something, but iPad seems way more usable than an iPhone.

This should be helpful for ball placement guidance.

Thanks for the insight on the hook up. Any ideas on a screen/enclosure. I only have 9' to work with at ceiling. Thought about a Carl's 8 x 10 x 5.5 with preferred screen?

That’s the exact build I just purchased, exceeded my expectations. I wrote a review with pics in another post.
