What feature do you like best about SkyTrak?

I have to say that SkyTrak has done an outstanding job of improving their product! There is no so much packed into there (and even more to come from what I have heard), that I was wondering what everyone's favorite feature is, since there is a LOT to choose from, bag mapping, wedge matrix, etc.

For me, I absolutely love the random greens option on the driving range. I normally set my ranges from about 70 yards to 230 yards, and just have a blast hitting an "approach" and wondering at what distance the next target is going to be at. With the three different green sizes, you can really hone in your approach game!

This may sound odd, but personally the best feature is the offset. Coming from opti shot 2 and hitting in a 10 foot wide room, it was always strange to hit and then see the pro tracer start in the middle of the screen as my ball was striking the screen 2 feet to the right. The offset feature with the target line that runs all the way down the fairway is fantastic and accommodates all of us who do not have large wide sim rooms

I think the device is amazing at the price point. However, the skytrak software I do not think is so great. It is almost 3 years old and the graphics are not that great. Everytime you get a new version it loses your login info. The sync between the software and sky360 does not work half the time. To me it should be much farther along.

Now, on the other side I am glad they keep updating it since we basically pay for it every year.

We've been a bit limited on what we can do with graphics because we want to keep the app consistent between PC and mobile. However, we've made some huge strides in v4.0 in this area.

Although good graphics are "nice", to me, SkyTrak is not a "simulator", so it's not like I'm playing golf courses with the SkyTrak software. That's what things like TGC are for in my opinion. The graphics in SkyTrak are good enough to accomplish what the SkyTrak was designed to do, which is to help us improve our games.

With that being said, I am glad they are improving the graphics as a more realistic image would be better to look at when you are banging balls for hours!

Agree w Lgnir, graphics are good enough as it. I'd rather have speed/performance on your devices instead of nicer graphics but poorer performance or needing to upgrade devices. I'd also rather SkyTrak invests time/effort into making software better and more realistic for practice than wasting time on graphics - i.e., besides randomizers, etc. already mentioned maybe improve ball physics a little bit more like spin decay if that has not already been implemented.

I feel like the added randomizer is a great feature to improve practice sessions. My favorite thing is the fact that they keep listening to our requests and improving the software.

Where is the randomizer located? I can not seem to find it. Thanks

When you are on the range, on the left side of the screen where your shot distance is displayed, there is a gear icon on the bottom that says "Practice Area". Click that gear and you are at a screen where you can select your green size. You can just set a distance from there, or on the bottom right is a link that says "Switch to Randomizer". If you click on that you have to option to set minimum and maximum distance and number of shots. It's fun when you get a distance in between clubs!

I like how easy it integrates with 3rd party software packages i.e. TGC and E6. The ease of use, Skytrak is virtually plug and play, and accuracy. I am getting very similar if not dead one shot shape and distances that I get on a real course. The price is second to none, are there better launch monitors out there sure but for 10x the price of a Skytrak. Is the added bonus you get with the 10x price tag worth the extra cost.... to me no. Skytrak for a home user is the best bang for your buck imo.
