We've got a new app submission going into Apple on Monday (V 1.7) that will include the following:

-- Ground physics improvements.
-- Alignment Mode - you'll be able to turn on both laser pointers and align the unit at a target.
-- Added a "Center" reading for side angle and side spin when it's under certainparameters.
-- Improved multi-player challenges so that you'll be able to see markers for other player's shots.
-- New battery indicator logo, and warning.
-- New data sync status indicator.
-- Added a toggle to jump between Side Spin and Spin Axis.
-- Simplified and improved the connection flow.
-- Other enhancements and improvements.

In January we'll submit V1.8 to Apple which will include:

-- Improvements to the flight model and club head speed for high spin shots.
-- Further ground physics improvements.
-- Adding the altitude and temperature to the settings.
-- Improved ball trajectory on the range.
-- Activate ground firmness options.

I'm trying to determine the environmental settings under the Game Improvement Package. So far I can't seem to identify anyway to change them in that part of the App. Second problem - there is no global environmental settings and the setting reset every time you enter the program. I routinely play at altitudes 6000-7000 feet and having to reenter those settings every session is annoying.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but there isn't an option for a Gap Wedge when selection clubs from the Practice Session.

I've used my Skytrak 8-9 sessions now and am really pleased. One problem I've found, however, is that when I plug the unit into AC power while using it it won't work. The top light flashes red intermittently and it won't pick up any ball flights. Since they don't ship them with power adapters I'm using the USB power adapter from an iPhone (which for reference does charge the unit fine when it's powered off.). Has anybody else had a similar problem? Has anybody been able to use their unit while it's plugged into AC power?

I've used it plugged in to a USB power stick without problems, twice now for 20 or so minutes. But not a power outlet.

For me, plugging it to AC power while using Skytrak is no problem.

Hi Seth, I was wondering if there was any news on a release date for the United Kingdom?
If I shipped a SkyTrak in from the US, would it work in the UK?

Sweep,
while in USA when I bought the SkyTrak, the app version 1.7 was there. Then the app version 1.8 came out while in Middle East, so as long as your ipad is able to receive regular updates, the SkyTrak app will also be updated.
I noted that while app store account was signed as "Qatar" account, the SkyTrak app was not available. The solution was simple just signing in with USA account.

Guys, very good stuff. Here's a few things I can comment on:

- I will certainly look into the Network Mode issue. I have not heard of any customers having issues as described, until this morning actually. I will reach out to that customer and see if the IP address ends up being the culprit.

- Unfortunately/fortunately, our shield and riser prototype went through a change to add a level to it, so that set us back on delivering. It has been approved again by manufacturing and should be ~month away.

- I'm working on being able to save session settings

- v1.8.5 is in the works as a patch update for the hot-iron ball flight issue with v1.8. I decided it would be best to address that issue first and independent of anything else.

- Regarding the data loss when upgrading to v1.8 - even though the SkyGolf360 frontend has not been accessible for some time, the backend has been working behind the scenes. So any data that you are able to sync has been stored correctly. So you can upgrade, delete the app, etc and all of your data is still stored in the cloud. However, right now it is operating as a one way street. This means everything is going up, but it is just not populating the local database within the app. This will change soon. Basically, don't worry - no data loss, you just can't get it see it all yet in the app.

- On that note, SkyGolf360 is live now. You can go to it using your browser and click on 'SkyTrak-swings' (after you've logged in). Here you can see all of your synced data.

- I cannot comment on UK availability, sorry.

Any closer to the release? I love it but I find when I input the numbers in the Trajectory optimizer from flightscope, the ball curves dramatically less on their projection. I have also noticed that the spin axis or side spin is not consistently close with the GC2. See post #1451 http://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/...monitor/page97

The SkyGolf360 site hasn't been of any value since the ST has launched and into customer hands. I'm not sure what the plan is in terms of content and there seems to be a 1yr membership time limit for those who purchased ST. Will these guys get an extension to the membership once there is some meaningful content on the site for ST users?

It has been discussed before and I would agree that the driver shots where a bit short. Went in and looked at the settings and changed the elevation to 0 ft. My home course is at appr. 60ft. Have been trying to get rid of a massive slice for some time and was happy to see the progress. But check out the distance. (attached photo)There is no way I can hit the ball that far and it does not add up with the other data. Has anybody else seen this.(all settings are at default except elevation)

You will be taken care of, don't worry. Have you checked it out recently? The SkyTrak area is now available. Go to SkyGolf360>Game>SkyTrak Swings. We're making better every day.

I know it was mentioned earlier, that it's often best to point the logo towards the camera, but now i'm going to check if drawing a sharpie line around older balls will help improve detection. I have many now (up to 5-6,000 swings so far) that are funky during the detection phase and have wild results. I retire them as they get this way - but it's not scuffing just dimple decay.
This might be a good way to eke the last little bit from my practice dozens...

So I thought I did an internet connection to SkyTrak, but when I went to Golf360 the calendar in which you choose sessions wouldn't allow me to go past Jan 3? Does that mean my session was not recognized and I was not actually connected via internet or is there something else going on here??
