    SkyTrak not registering

    Hi,

ive had my SkyTrak for 7 months and has worked well, with only 1 or 2 shots not registering per round. Tried to play TGC this afternoon and after 6 holes the SkyTrak failed to register. I've tried factory reset, realigned, levelled etc. Only willing to register a half wedge.

Any ideas? Nothing has changed in my sim room at all and I'm lost for ideas. I tried back to the SkyTrak range and same. 3 Lights just stay green and doesn't want to register. Gutted 😢

Laser curtain? Seems to be the most common hardware failure. Do leftie shots still register?

Thanks, yes looks like it's the laser curtain then. Left handed all shots registered, right hand about 1 in 10.

will contact SkyTrak support in the U.K. Monday morning. Disappointing to say the least, and from browsing the forum last night, looks like a number of folks have had the same issue. The unit is less than 30 days out of warranty, makes it even more annoying

Thanks SkyTrak Seth, we managed to contact skygolf in U.K. yesterday so it's on its way for inspection as of Monday lunchtime.

In the U.K. I believe I have 12 month warranty so the support team have offered either a replacement or loan unit if it is indeed a hardware failure and needs to be shipped to the USA. I'll keep you updated, hopefully won't be without a unit for long....I have loved my sim experience over the past 3 months.

Thanks for the support so far, can't fault it.

SkyTrak_Seth OK - so my device has been tested and SkyTrak U.K. is saying that it's not faulty. I've not changed anything in my sim room or environment and it has been happily working for 6-7 months until last weekend - when it stopped registering right handed shots mid round. I only managed to get it to register with a PW.

If the conclusion is that the unit is fine - then I'm in the situation where I now own a device that's not reliable at all. Can you check with the UK support guys just to reconfirm the situation?

After further testing today - and asking the SkyTrak U.K. team to try with 4/5/6 irons - it appears the unit is defective and isn't picking up shots with the customer services team either.

It's worth pointing out then that even though it did work ok with the support team yesterday (using a PW) - it was only after asking them to use specific clubs that they confirmed there is an issue....

I'm happier (to some extent) that at least the problem can be reproduced....waiting to see if I can get a new, replacement unit...

I was in the middle of a bag mapping today. 8 clubs, GW to 5 and all was ok, went to 4 iron and then shots wouldn’t register.
I updated my license for another year later in the day and I tried to hit a few shots and it still didn’t work.
                Thoughts?
