Who uses Rmotion with Skytrak?

I just bought a Skytrak.

Just wondering if there are many people who use the rmotion with Skytrak? I am really not that convinced on the rmotion (club sensor) data, so just wondering if anyone else has any experience or thoughts on this?

I have had a Skytrak for a little over a year and I bought an R-motion about 3 months ago.

I’ve been making some swing changes and wanted face and path data to go with my ball data.

I would use the word integrated lightly in terms of what I have done so far. Basically I have hit balls with my Skytrak running on my laptop in the range and R-motion app running on my phone and looking at both data sources. I find the R-motion app pretty finicky as it doesn’t refresh after each shot without me manually touching the screen and it crashes a lot.

On well struck shots all the data points line up and I think it’s useful but I personally will only use it for block type practice as I’m unlikely to move the R-motion after each shot to a new club.

I use the Skytrak range when practicing and I don’t think there is direct integration there. I have TGC but I never got it setup for both devices as I don’t really like TGC as a range and I was expecting 2019 to be available soon.

SkyTrak_Seth has mentioned they were going back down the path of club data and he and I had some exchanges on it awhile ago but this has gone quiet as of late.

I’m hoping they can use the R-motion data, Skytrak data and the club algorithm all together to produce some good output (the two imperfect club data approaches could be used as a cross check) but it seems like this is a pretty low priority. Ideally I’d like an add on that does this accurately with Skytrak like HMT but the people with more tech knowledge than me seem to think this is very unlikely at a price point that lines up with Skytrak.

I started with R-Motion and just got my SkyTrak earlier this month. I already downloaded the APP from this forum for them to work together but found out it only works if you purchase TGC for SkyTrak. I was hoping to use them both on the SkyTrak or R-Motion range but this is not going to happen. Tonight I launched both SkyTrak and R-Motion TGC on my PC and used them both at the same time .. It was not a seamless experience to say the least .. but it was interesting to see the results of both going at the same time. R-Motion would display the shot and a second or two later SkyTrak would send it down range. I had the same ball flights on everything but 2 shots where SkyTrak showed a fade and R-Motion a draw, but besides those two and the starting path.. the shot shapes were pretty much the same.

I for one would LOVE it if they could integrate the two for just the range. I may one day upgrade to TGC and try this in the same app but for now I am thinking I will use a tablet for SkyTrak and or R-Motion and keep checking them both as I did have a few shots that did not register on the SkyTrak (and it normally picks them all up for me so far) so I am thinking I was maxing out my PC with more data than it could handle at one time

If you have a TGC subscription with your SkyTrak and download the version of TGC that integrates the two systems you should be able to fully combine the data they provide. If you notice your R-Motion numbers are off you can try to troubleshoot by changing the set club lengths and adjusting the clip placement (if you are noticing an incorrect draw or fade on your hits).

There was info on the forum that R motion will not be supported for TGC 2019.

I believe that has changed based on recent comments. I think they are working on integration now.

How do you get an upgrades License for R-Motion?
Rapsodo rom 4/1/19, can you send a link to the correct software version you are talking about?
