  • Fitness Golf on sale for $249

Just to give all a heads up, if your in the market for a sim package I have been using FG for the past 5 months. I think the graphics are fine for those looking for an affordable Sim package and I have enjoyed the play. I've only played 42 of the 161 courses and have been satisfied with pretty much all of them. The in game settings could use some work but the gameplay is great. I've only had single player play so I cant comment on multi player other than CPU players kicking my ass. I wanted online play but just couldn't justify TGC this year and I wanted sim play asap. In my experience it is 1000% better than WGT. WGT gave me crazy numbers and when I consulted members I was told "indoor swing is real" "indoor swing" "I would say indoor swing" "your suffering from indoor swing" ect I thought about TGC quite a bit before purchasing but on a teachers budget I went ahead and pulled the trigger on FG at $299. I'm sure many have had success with WGT however I did not. If your on a budget it sure beats a wedge matrix, bag mapping or long drive contest. Also you can connect in direct mode and need no internet connection to play. I'll be glad to answer any questions anyone has. I'm not affiliated in any way, however FG, if your out there I'll be more than happy to be a spokesperson for you on my way to a lower handicap.
    Hit um straight fellas!

Thanks for the kind words and I do hope Fitness Golf helps lower your handicap. Of course I'm biased, but at $249 I do feel that FG is a terrific value even if a user chooses to just use the "Golf Only" mode like you are. But, using the "Fitness Golf" mode adds a unique way to get a full aerobic workout and just may improve your overall golf game by increasing stamina, strength, and flexibility!

      Hi

I agree, fitness golf is really good and great value, even if you've got TGC, just to be able to play good courses offline.

The graphics are fine, even on hd 520 intergrated graphics on low settings, gameplay is good. Its a steal at $250.

WGT looks good, but gameplay is terrible around the greens in my opinion.

This is what makes skytrak wonderful, something decent to suite every budget.

        Thanks for the heads up.

With regards to your earlier post about WGT, all I recall is one poster offering some ideas, to which you replied rudely.

I agree the trial I did was great! I spend more time just keeping my swing in line instead of playing sim golf so haven’t pulled trigger on the infamous,TGC. Any one play the magnolia masters course? Is it kinda realistic and worth it just for that?

I agree and I think its a super cool concept and one I would love to try, however, if I move my treadmill and workout bike to the sim room I wouldn't have anything to hang my clothes on.

I have played Georgia Greens (Augusta National) probably 15 times. I love it. It makes me feel like many of the tee shots make you force a ball down a chute about the size of a 3-0 door. Turns out there are quite a few pines on that course. I don't think you you would be disappointed with the purchase. All of the courses I have played are fun. My biggest challenge has been roll out on chips onto the green but I struggle IRL with that as well.
I rarely hit on the ST range anymore. I've been focusing on the "Way of the Playa". So far it has been a great tool for building confidence on course management and if your on the fence I would say pull the trigger!

Remember that with the Fitness Golf software, if your green roll out does not match your real life roll out you can try two things:

              1. Under "Game Options" you can adjust the "Ball Roll Friction Scaler" slider to a lower number to speed up the greens or to a higher number to slow down the speed of the greens.

              2. If you just want to speed up the greens for an individual course or round you can load the course and set the "Course Conditions" to "Dry"- Or to "Soft" to slow the greens down.

Does Fitness golf allow for "offset" alignment?

I've played a few games on Fitness Golf now and I have to agree with the guys above, really good fun and value for money.

Thanks for the tip about the friction scaler fitness golfer most of the greens did feel a bit 'Augusta'!
Whilst in the options I noticed another slider for 'Tire circumference', what does that do?

Is this something that can run off an iPad? I just purchased my skytrak ( not yet up and running) and one of the biggest things keeping me from buying tgc2019 is the software plus gaming computer cost(which I don’t own)

Fitness Golf only works with the Windows operating system.

I used it for a bit on a pc with no graphics card, it ran ok on minimum settings, perfectly playable. I’ve since upgraded and it does look a lot better now though

I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying Fitness Golf. The Tire Circumference slider is only used if you are using a bike for the exercise modes. Setting your bike tire circumference allows the software to accurately calculate your moving speed and distance for these modes.

You can download our user manual to see all of the features here:
