I don't think you can use AirPlay with the Skytrak. Skytrak requires you connect via wifi between the unit and the iPad. AirPlay between the iPad and Apple tv for mirroring requires that the iPad be on the same network via wifi as the apple tv. So I dont think you can do both at the same time.

As far as I know you can connect directly between the iPad and Skytrak or connect the Skyrak through your home/work network which would allow mirroring

      • How do you connect with the iPad to the Skytrak through the home network?

No sure I don't have mine yet but their website states this
          Wireless Connectivity Options

          • Connects directly to iPad Wi-Fi (NO Internet access in this mode)
          • Connects to iPad Wi-Fi through router/home network (Internet Access available)

          • I have been only connecting direct. Through the wifi connection should allow AirPlay mirroring. I just havent tried that. ZMax , have you connected Skytrak through home network?

You can't do that with the SkyTrak and iPad. The pc must connect to SkyTrak via a Wifi adapter. The pc can still be connected to your home network(internet) through a LAN or another Wifi interface.

I connect my ipad to my portable projector for presentations using the 30 pin to hdmi adapter all the time. Why not just do that?

                • You can do that. You just can't connect the iPad to the SkyTrak and your home network at the same time. Only the pc can do that.

                  • That's what I thought as well Z. Connecting via a 30 pin to hdmi will work. I don't think you can AirPlay with an Apple tv at the same time with Skytrak.

                    • Maybe the final release version will be different from Babba22's and Zmax's or this Skytrak video ( http://youtu.be/Vb3gaGld07w ) is very confusing, watch from 1:15.

I understand it the way that you do Jel.

It sounds like you use your ipad to log into your skytrak, then you give skytrak the login information to access your home network.

Otherwise, if the ipad is connected only to the skytrak, via skytrak's wifi access point, you would not have internet connection on the ipad, nor the skytrak.

And will you be able to store different users for future comparisons.

At the moment, it only stores shot history for one user. And the add club option is still limited. i.e. you can only have one driver and only allowed 14 clubs. This could change in the future obviously.

You can adjust firmness, wind, and humidity. No temperature or altitude.

Does it say what default altitude and temperature is. That will have a big effect on yardages.

The video does say it's doable. But with the current app, I don't see how that's doable.

                          • Hello, seems like there is some sort of confirmation that putting is a go for SkyTrak but there is no ETA. Is it known if putting will be included in the base unit? Or just that they are working on something which could include an additional cost sensor device?

And with that said, I'm guessing the Skytrak can have its firmware updated?

                            Thank you

                            • I wouldn't call it confirmation. They can integrate with Trugolf''s putting sensor if they choose to. Again no confirmation of that either. Until it's listed on their site as a feature, it's not available.
