I am new here and new to golf. I drool for the GC2 + software but it is out of my price range. It looks like if SkyTrak is going to be a good launch monitor, I may bite the bullet and get E6 to go with it, just because its available. It seems like its going to be a decent price for the combo, even if people don't like E6...
I'm attempting to justify since the majority of my practice won't be on the course simulators, and just with the skytrak to learn shot shaping and stuff. I just hope the numbers are good enough to do so and actually learn with it.
I have no experience with any simulator, so maybe E6 will feel good
. Hope SkyTrak comes out soon.

Problems with e6 are price, low res textures, outdated graphics overall, boring cameras, no Augusta National, ugly greens, and poor putting. Trugolf is working on updating e6, improving on some of the issues I mentioned, including adding online play(fee based). But IMO, it doesn't make much sense spending resources to improve old tech in the face of TGC.Comment

Dang, so the problem with E6 is just that it is not very good eh, let alone expensive. I will probably just play with the SkyTrak alone until new simulator software comes out and is compatiable. Would be very painful to drop 3k on software that is behind the times.Comment

Thanx again!! Excuse me for exploiting your competence....I will use it only indoor and my ambition is to be able to do the range training at home in my garage. Therefore the accuracy of ballflight and length is number one for me. How would you compare SkyTrak and ProTee in that situation, is it worth waiting for......the SkyTrak i mean....Comment

ProTee is a more accurate in certain situations while the SkyTrak will be more accurate overall. ProTee has great putting while SKyTrak's current firmware doesn't support putting. Might change in the future or it might not. If you only care about driving range training or club fitting, get SkyTrak. If you want accurate simulation play/swing analysis get ProTee. For a very accurate simulation play, get GC2+ProTee.Comment

Thanx again, I really need this help!! I just saw you play Augusta on youtube and there you wrote: "For working on my swing in the basement, I trust the Protee's ball flight more. It more resembles my shots on the course. It's club data is invaluable. I use the GC2 to fine tune my driver ball speed, launch angle, and back spin rate for max carry and roll."
Im not much into launch angle, backspin, etc. That makes ProTee a better option for me than GC2 you think?!
As I understand you, when it comes to ballflight and carry length the SkyTrak and ProTee is comparable?
Btw, whats the name on Augusta in the ProTee?

There are others factors to consider such ease of setup, room size, etc... No device is perfect. While the gc2 is very accurate, there will be times when things don't make sense. Same for all devices. Overall, the gc2 is still the most accurate indoor device.
If you want club data, go with Protee. A review for SkyTrak will come soon.Comment

I have played at between 3-4 for 10-15 years now, but with children its hard to get the time for hitting balls on the range.....
