  • Just got off with live chat. I was told Dec 1st.
I suggested that they change both the website and alert their customers that the dates have changed. It seems like an obvious thing to tell your customers.

Once I receive my SkyTrak, I will do a similar thing.

            • Guys, I'm sorry I have not been able to get back to the forum since last week. As you can imagine, things are pretty busy around here. I'm not sure where the December 1st date came from but I agree, I would be pretty disappointed in that too. My understanding is that the ship date is now targeting this Friday. As someone else pointed out, the app is in the App Store, and the units are ready. Unfortunately, we are waiting on User Guides to be delivered, and legally the product cannot go out without them. I know that's not what you want to hear, but things happen. I will do my best to keep you up to date with any news.

                  • How about a sticky note attached to it saying the user guide can be found at the following web address? I'd be good with that. Although, I'm no lawyer so don't know if that would fly.

Cool, good to see it in action. Not sure which iPad or App version it was but there still seems to be a bit of a delay between hit and compute ( around 8 secs )

                          • Martin's tech news....I wonder what competitor product Martin is referring to.....hahah

                            November 17 2014

                            LX Pro videos

                            Starting this week:

LX Pro videos using two Sony cam video cameras - one focused on the LX Pro unit itself with ball and club and the other on the monitors showing game ball trajectories and captured camera images of every shot.

To start with, we'll be showing chips and putts - which, according to reports we're receiving, aren't being detected by our competitor products.

A probable reason for this would be they are using mics to trigger the cameras - which don't work for chips and putts - and/or are using just one camera - in contrast to the LX Pro which uses two cameras.

If the competitor product uses just one camera, then the position of the ball on the tee or hitting position on the mat would have to be precisely known before a shot was taken in order to detect any launch parameters with any degree of accuracy.

This position, however, wouldn't be possible using just a laser pointer to indicate to the user where to place the ball. There'd be no accuracy in doing just that as the laser could be pointing anywhere on the ball - i.e front, back or anywhere in between.

Anyway, producing the videos is going to be fun so stand by.

                            • Interesting. That will be cool to see. I will say though that IF they are talking about SkyTrak, neither of those assumptions are correct.
