Here is the excerpt from the manual. It tells where.Originally posted by foggedz View PostI have only been using my SkyTrak indoors hitting iron shots with the unit setting on the mat. Has any one confirmed that if you are going to tee the ball up to hit a driver if you also need to raise up the SkyTrak to be level with the top of the tee?
However, if you tee up more than 4 inches, you might need to raise Skytrak. The Skytrak's facebook posted a photo taken at the PGA show in Orlando. The photo shows a guy (probably a professional) hitting a ball this way.

Remember this unit takes pictures of your ball in flight. If your tee is too high, the ball will be out of the frame/vision of the camera, in which case you will need to raise the unit higher but still level to gravity just so you can have the complete picture of the ball without it being cut off. For me, the unit was maybe a degree un-level and it seemed ok. Unfortunately there is no way to tell if you need to raise the unit because there is no debug/advance mode where it will show you the snapshots. On other camera launch monitors like Vector, you can actually see the two pictures and make a determination of where you unit needs to be. I hope that they add this in future software revisions so smart golfers can troubleshoot themselves.

In order to adjust the height of my SkyTrak to match the surface or higher tee, as well as to make sure it is level, I built this little platform in about 10 minutes with some very inexpensive parts from the hardware store. I attached a 360 degree bubble level on top of the SkyTrak so I can see when it is flat. Can raise the unit about 2 inches and threaded holes in platform make it easier to level the device regardless of surface.2 Photos

Sorry, I went into a bit of a black hole for weeks surrounding the PGA show. I can't tell you everything right now that will be in v1.9, aside from the focus being improving carry and roll algorithms for mid irons. Again, please understand that the measured raw launch data is all still correct and has remained untouched. These tweaks to the flight model are unfortunately a necessity due to changing our dev environment from a 2D C+ to 3D Unity environment. Everything behaves differently. But testing is going very well and should have some good news soon. Just FYI, putting will not be in v1.9.
Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions. Your feedback is a large part of the reason why we have a successful product and why it continues to get better as a whole with each new release.

Seth/Skytrak,
You didn't say what the estimated time frame that 1.9 will be available (week or month...or more???)
Also, would like to know an estimated time frame when Skytrak will be integrated with E6 cloud and WGT? I know the E6 cloud is coming out in March. How close is Skytrak to integrating the simulation? I know that is the big question everybody would like to hear. Doesn't have to be exact date, but an estimate would really help with everyone waiting so patiently.
Love the Skytrak! Thanks for all your hard work in making this a great product!

I know there are lots of fixes and enhancements coming up and I am impatient to have them implemented, but I am already seeing the benefits of the SkyTrak in terms of driver tweaks, side-by-side ball comparisons, and practice time at home. Being able to spend essentially unlimited time evaluating alternative shafts, clubhead settings, and different balls using accurate launch and spin data gave me a new setup that immediately proved itself on the course. Not to mention the fun I was having doing all the testing!

Okay to clear things up Bubba contacted TruGolf and this was his post.
"Ok, just spoke with Trugolf. The software cost is $25 per month for home users with no need to buy the software. The commercial cost is $150 per month. There will be a time limitation for home users however at 20-30 hrs per month. Hope this clears things up."
