  • What's the least expensive way to create a simulation with skytrak?

Hi all, so I'm not new to launch monitors, I've had them prior at home. But I am new to using them to run a golf sim. So my questions is pretty basic, what's the cheapest way to setup the skytrak for simulation? Forget the ipad or computer cost, I have both already. This is just a discussion of the skytrak portion

I know I can pay the higher annual fee and use WGT on the ipad. I know I can also use their "middle" tier subscription and use a variety of simulators they support (so lower annual cost) BUT, when I've looked every one of those supported packages is outrageously expensive for purchase. Am I missing a more reasonable option on the PC side?

So which option do you find most economical?

    HI

I wouldn't go near WGT, images good, but chipping makes it unplayable in my view.

If you've got good wifi connection go with TGC if you can, you can also upgrade to tgc2019 down the line.

If you dont have a constant internet connection or wifi and on a budget, Fitness golf is pretty good. You can play off line and the courses are good, plays well.

CReative golf plays very well, on and off line, few courses and can get costly if you buy everything.
That said i found the courses to play very similar to the real courses i have played.

FItness golf and CReative golf can be played on an integrated graphics card laptop when starting out, I used intel integrated hd520 graphics and it worked fine on low settings.

TGC can also be transfered from Skytrak to other hardware if you decide to upgrade in the future.

    Regards

What tee box do they put you on in the original. Or can you change it just not between golfers playing together?

The original tgc courses only have 1 tee box. So if you designed a course and wanted 4 different tee boxes you would have to create the course 4 times.

I'm a new user. Got my Skytrak a month ago. My experience is that Skytrak monitor is pretty good. But World Golf Tour/ Ipad connection is really bad. I tried to go cheapest route-- WGT/Ipad. No good. So hard to get a connection between Skytrak/wifi/ipad/WGT. All those have to be in sync. When I direct connect to my PC. Skytrak gives reading immediately, and never looses signal. So I just bite the bullet and bought 2019 TGC. Omg, what a difference. 2019 TGC is so much better and the connection is awesome to my Gaming PC.
          My simulator set up:
Skytrak Game improvement package w/ metal case: $2200
          Costco country club elite: $500
Walmart: Callaway 8' Quad Hitting Net: $150
Spornia Golf Net Target (Amazon): $39.99
          Mounted 42'' 4K HDR LED TV ($300)
Lid from my plastic bin to hold balls. $0
          2019 TGC $895

          Whole set up around $4000
