TGC2019 Chipping Practice

Can someone explain to me how we can chip on TGC2019 (chipping practice area) from any chosen distance? It's a random scenario with TGC selecting the distance from the hole and I've attempted to drop the ball to a closer location to no avail. I understand the practice chipping area is an actual course hole but I would like to practice chipping from different distances similar to that we can do on the ST Challenge option. I searched this forum and didn't really find the answer I was looking for.

Perhaps this isn't possible?

Here is another tip:

When you're looking for courses, right mouse click the course picture. A screen will open with some options Many courses have build in practice facilities so you can drive/chip/putt like the build in practice facility.

The video for the chipping practice tells you to hit the E key to get an overview of the golf course to move ball location. How do you then get it to zoom in to place the ball where you want and what do you do to place the ball in the new location?
