  • JNPG Software Replacement for SkyTrak

Sadly JNPG is no more in August 2020. I am bought up with my subscription til then. I purchased JNPG as my software cause I wanted to invite friends over to play local. I have added hundreds of courses thanks to ***........so, now that JNPG will be gone next August what is another suitable software that will allow us to play together locally on my one SkyTrak unit? I don't see any other software out there that allows local play as JNPG does? HELP!!!

Don't all of them allow local multiplayer (apart from WGT)? TGC1/TGC2019 (4 players),E6 and Creative Golf(8 players).

Probably not just me that is going to give a slightly biased recommendation but having tried the majority of them including JNPG it's TGC2019 for me all day long. One off payment, more courses than you will ever be able to play and free online tournaments. I know it does have a few quirks and lack of game modes that JNPG does have but I don't miss them at all, matchplay, stableford and stroke are all I really used anyway.

Not surprised about the announcement it was weird how they pulled support for new Skytrak subscriptions last year.

TGC2019 game modes are glitchy and problematic and lacks scramble mode. We play local mode Alternate Shot on TGC2019 but don’t use the Alternate Shot game mode. Doesn’t work properly

That's my concern, JNPG worked great, we could even play it as 2 vs 2 scramble so two teams of 2 playing each team against eachother....worked awesome....sadly that is going away...hope *** comes up with something.

Unfortunately probably not enough sim users compared to console players

There are people heavily invested in the JNPG simulator tour that are working to determine what's next. What that is, when that is announced, no idea. But they're not just giving up.

I'm also very disappointed in this. I have both jnpg and tgc19. In my opinion, tgc19 is nicer when I'm playing myself or just a normal stroke play round with friends. What I'm going to miss most is the par 3 challenge and scramble modes of jnpg. Those are what I used most often when I have friends over for a party. Tgc19 also doesn't let you save players like jnpg did, so you have to re-enter their names every time.

I'm actually disappointed in the support of tgc19 and would question buying it ever again. It's buggy, missing some basic features, and there's zero communication around patches and updates.

"I'm actually disappointed in the support of tgc19...."

Although I still think its a great sim I wish they would fix some of the really obvious glitches that weren't there in the last TGC, weird first hop, being able to use the "Q" and "E" keys to get different green views, having a key to remove/replace the flag, the leftover console "your money/your level"
Seems odd that they didn't clean at least some of those items up fairly quickly after the initial release. They already had them working in the previous version.

Does anyone know why JNPG dropped SkyTrak support or are they just getting out of the sim business? Maybe it is just my limited knowledge of the sim market but there seem to be an awful lot of SkyTrak users, why opt out of that market share if you're JNPG?

So short version of the story is that Trackman bought Perfect Parallel the creators of JNPG last year. They then bizarrely decided to exclude any new Skytrak users from purchasing it, however other sim users were still able to buy and use it. Then last month Trackman decided that as of August 2020 it will be a Trackman only product and all other sim users will have to look at other options.
Shame really as you can see the amount of work that people put into the tour and the designers pretty much squeezed every inch out of that course designer.

At $20,000 a unit it makes me kind of wonder where their revenue stream is going to come from, compared to the 1/10th that cost of SkyTrak. I'd have to figure that there are a rapidly growing mob more SkyTrak users, and JNPG's development costs are already sunk vis a vis the software to interact with SkyTrak units.

If they think JNPG is enough better than TGC2019 et al, to drive sales for Trackman, I have my doubts. Two grand for a SkyTrak isn't cheap but it is within a lot of golfer's means, twenty grand I have to believe excludes a huge number of golfers for economic reasons. Trackman may be making their marketing decisions based on when they were kind of the only show in town.

It would be interesting to compare the # of units sold in the various launch monitors market. I think if I owned Trackman stock I'd sell it.

Creative Golf 3D lets you play one game together with friends:

Playing a golf course or some fun games (Darts (avalaible in Golfisimo - soon for SkyTrak), Minigolf, Demolition Golf):
                    · Individual modes of game (Stroke, Stableford) : 1 to 8 players play together ( in one flight)
                    · team modes ( Best ball, Texas scramble) : 1 to 8 teams, 1 team: 2-8 players, maximum players in one flight (all teams): 8.

Games for Event (nearest to pin, longest drive, target challenge and more):

Theese games are suitable for various events - for home or company party and so, where are a lot of peoples.
unlimited number of players, each player have a 1-10 strokes.

Of course, some games are in principle for two-players (or 2 teams) only, like Match Play and some games from Golfisimo (games pack): Bridges, Barrels, Grandslam and more.

Golfisimo?? You kept that quiet, it looks like good fun just downloaded the demo. Can you give a sneak peak on the price and when it will be available for skytrak?

I think you found demo for SkyTrak - https://setups.creativegolf3d.com/sk...yTrak_Demo.exe
Full version for sale was send to SkyTrak so now we are only waiting for adding to their e-shop.
It will work like standalone software if you don't have Creative Golf 3D software. If you have Creative Golf 3D it will works like part of this software with same functions.
Price will be $400 for Standalone Golfisimo and lower price if you'll buy it with Creative Golf 3D.

                    Hi,
I purchased lifetime license few months ago. So what will happen to me after August 2020?

I replaced my JNPG with TruGolf E6 and never looked back. It is better for multi player options, easy to use - only drawback is not so many courses. I have and 8 man event every week - 4 against 4 scramble. Lots of fun. You can even do 2 vs 3 or 4 vs 1 - whatever you like up to 8 players. Better than JNPG options.

hoolp - sounds great, just wondering, are you using the new E6 Connect yet? Can you make a video of it in action? Love to see it...
