The importance of having ST level?

Hello, just had a question and was hoping for some feedback. I have purchased the ST and it’s on its way, I have my simulator build in my garage. The only problem is that I have a slight grade from front to back in my garage, so I am not on a level hitting mat. The hitting mat is level to the eye but when placing an actual level, it seems to be out 1/4”. I purchased the u it that comes with the FMJ so I can adjust the feet on the unit to level the unit itself but my sorry is that with the mat still on the slight grade that the unit will recognize the balls going higher than they actually are. I guess my question would be would I be okay doing that? Would it be better to have the unit on the grade as the mat and having it be off level? Or is my only option to rebuild my stance may and wedge up the back so it is level? Sorry for the long post and thank you for any feedback or help. Look forward to getting the unit hooked up and seeing you guys out on the course.

The SkyTrak should be level with whatever your stance is, but more importantly your stance shouldn't be tilted.

If you go to the leveling feature in the SkyTrak app you will get a message about the tolerances somewhere in there. I think it's plus or minus two degrees but don't quote me. Skytrak is self leveling, so even if it is tilted within those tolerances because of uneven flooring the accelerometer will compensate. However if your stance isn't level, these compensations will actually work against you (meaning you won't be able to match the mats tilt).

I can't imagine that your 1/4" variance is THAT tilted for it to actually matter, but thats how it works.

I have mine set up in my garage on a slight slant as well. No issues IMO.

The SkyTrak should be level with whatever your stance is,

Launch angle is relative to the horizon, so I'd say no, it should be just plain level in order to get accurate launch angle, and hence accurate carry etc. Hitting with a tilted stance & lie replicates doing the same on the course. If very minor, probably no big deal, but if significant could affect how you swing, attack angle etc. Probably best to level platform in the long run.
