I purchased the Skytrak about a month ago, other than a few small hiccups, I was loving it. Before the skytrak I just started with the optishot as an entry level into the sim world. The Skytrak obviously a huge upgrade was awesome and only a few no reads (even with the driver , which I am hitting at 165mph ball speed) which i am okay with. Unfortunately today I go out to hit some iron shots and with the same set up I’ve had all along and it’s not reading about 60% of them. I’ve put black in the background as I’ve read from tips on here, and I have some truvis balls on the way, which I’ve read can help. I took the machine back inside after the round and noticed a very light dusting on it from mat fibres, so I have since cleaned it off but ran out of time to go and try it again. Would this be the reason I am getting so many no reads? Is there any reason that others have found in the past that help with this? My placement of the skytrak is tapped out so it’s always in the same place so I can’t see it being a level issue. Any tips on something that has worked for others in the past would be appreciated as the honeymoon stage is now starting to wear off and frustrations are starting to set in

Yes, it uses cameras so dust on the screen can affect it. Many have reported simply cleaning the dust off the lens solved their issue. I would recommend testing it with the clean lens before blaming the unit. -
- You mention going back inside. So you hit balls outside? Direct sunlight can create no reads. Did you change time of day, or is the position of the sun changed due to seasonal change?
- If nothing else have changed, networking is a common cause of no reads.

I have my sim room setup in my garage, sorry wasn’t very clear on that. I bring my laptop/Skytrak indoors after each session in case my garage ever got broken into. I have my skytrak run via USB to my laptop but yes maybe my internet was running slower than normal today. I didn’t notice anything when surfing the browser, but hopefully this was another factor. If USB, internet speed should not be a factor. However, USB can be affected by static, and that is something that changes as we go into winter. If you google "Skytrak" & "static" there will lots of threads. I believe it mostly affects USB connections, but there have been wifi issues as well. The easiest trouble shooting is to try direct wifi connection to your laptop. Here is a quote and link to one static issues thread:
"Excessive Static - SkyTrak_Seth has mentioned that increased static electricity, especially during dry winter months, could be causing interference with USB. Some posters have found that plugging the skytrack into a good quality power strip with line conditioner helped their issues. Making sure your host PC is connected to a clean power source seems to have an effect. I have gone to the extremes however to get rid of static and i continue to not be able to use my USB."
