I heard the new skytrak software only has a 1-1.5sec lag after hitting the ball. Can somebody confirm this? I was about to pull the trigger on a certified foresight, but I would rather save multiple thousand by going with the skytrak and upgrading my Epson vs350 projector along with the skytrak.

Yeah, I use the delay to guess the outcome and work the fix(if needed) in my brain. I think a configurable delay should be and optional feature on other launch monitors.Originally posted by skytrakali View PostDuring the delay think: "what kind of shot was that?" and think "what does it feel like the ball will do?" Seriously - it's a great way of forcing yourself to feel what shot you've hit. I've learned lots from it.
Happy Christmas!

I haven't heard of decreasing time in skytrak delay although when i watch the advertisement on the golf channel, i don't see a delay. Im thinking false advertising??
the delay was a nonissue for me while hitting into a net and looking at Tv for the shot. After building enclosure, projector and impact screen it was bothersome so i switched to gc2.

In carpentry we say spend the money once and regret it once. Don’t and regret it every day. No one sells a foresight and switches to skytrak. It’s decent for the money but money aside and there’s no conversation for skytrak.Originally posted by Aaron150 View PostI heard the new skytrak software only has a 1-1.5sec lag after hitting the ball. Starting over today, I would not buy SkyTrak. My device has performed well and I don't regret buying it as a "starter" kit. Today it feels "End of Life" as far as support goes.

Well if it has performed well, and still does, what is the reason to not buy it again? It is either to buy something better now, or to wait for something better.
Right now, that comes down to Uneekor and GC2. Both are roughly triple the price. The GC2 is unequivocally better than ST, and the choice really comes down to delay and marginal accuracy improvement (more so for high ball speed). The Uneekor provides video of impact, gives club data (good), is hard mounted (good or bad) and requires marked balls (bad).
I agree that the lack of updates gives a bad impression. It is absolutely ridiculous to leave things open to speculation as Skygolf has done by not providing updates or transparent communication. I am sure that the total lack of communication about it is costing sales. If my ST broke or was stolen today, I'd hang on one month to see what is being announced, then make decision whether to re-buy or not. If no hardware in a similar price range is announced (by ST or others), I'd re-buy as long as I received reassurance that the product is still supported in terms of software development.Last edited by Morini; 12-26-2019, 11:10 PM.

@frankiepap39 Are you referring to this thing, or is there something else coming out from FS?Originally posted by frankiepap39 View PostAaron150 there is a new flightscope mevo+ for roughly the same price coming out at the PGA show in january. if you are somewhere in between deciding, id wait and see what comes out of the show... so far though most people are pretty happy with skytrak, but 1 year with no updates could mean something big, or its as good as it gets for the unit. GC2 is a total different price point and different unit... thats next level up
