Anybody else get an error message?

"The procedure entry point SetThreadDpiAwarenessContext could not be located in the dynamic link library USER32.dll"

This was the 1.3.2.3 version from the website.

Oh, never mind. Just read the fine print: Windows 10 is REQUIRED. I'm playing on a souped-up Windows 7. That's a bummer.

So, I wonder what happens to all of my course packs I purchased? I''ll try downloading Connect today as I still have my skytrak subscriptions active.

I have played the demo and I actually found it to be pretty good. I thought the original e6 was pants. Graphically it grows on you. From early testing I thing the ball physics are more realistic and you don’t get the spin decay as you do on the skytrak range from what I can tell where is dives left or right. Wouldn’t pay for it outright but have had it confirmed from skytrak that you can pay the annual fee and subscribe to it on annual basis which I might try for a year to see what it’s all about. Getting realistic backspin on irons into the green which is nice as I struggle to get wedges to spin on the golf club 2019. Putting seems poor but has options for gimmes within a certain distance. My projector and pc is pretty punchy and I have read somewhere that on a pc monitor it looks great which is perfect for my outside setup.

The only annoying thing is it doesn’t look like you can move the target line like you can in tgc or skytrak range in an offset position but the practice facilities look awesome. Depends what you want I suppose

Gung-ho how do you offset. I have only got the demo and can’t see how you do that.

Not sure but I’ve seen videos of guys that have done it.

I’ve only got the demo too. Not in front of my sim
right now but from memory the offset could be set up in the settings area, under good simulator / projector settings. You needed to enter width, height, hitting distance from screen and hitting distance from centre (left/right).

$2500 yeah idk about that lol. Software costs more than the monitor. I will stick with my TGC2019 for now

Had a chance to play a few holes on my Surface Pro 4. I think the graphics are noticeably better; I like the HUD improvements but I find the post-shot metrics screen difficult to reac (especially in five seconds). Putting and chipping look to be improved over 1.6; I hit several chips within 25 yards with moderate pace and it read all of them (Did I mention I was using a yellow AlmostGolf ball?)

So far, I'm really impressed with the new offering and am looking forward to playing more on my dedicated desktop as soon as I get its OS upgraded to Windows 10.

Hi All, I have about 18 hours of playing & tinkering time with the new Skytrak e6. I am trying my hardest to like it but here are some of things I dont care for. Here you go:
          1) Distance to pin indicator is way to small on greens.
          2) Old e6 version driving range was better. The new range lacks flexibility and you can only hit to distances in 25yd increments
          3) Home page is to busy with to much shot data that is hard to understand for the avid golfer. Unless you are an instructor or golf junkie that knows how to use this data. I wish we could add & remove the data fields I want to see.
          4) program is not user friendly to dial in distances, remove shots and to see averages. Other programs are better and more user-friendly.
          5) Stated graphics are overrated. I have a hard time seeing my ball on the green compared to other programs where I get clean graphics
          6) flyby mode on the practice greens is horrible.

You are spot on about the shot data page. It's a true downgrade from the 1.6 version.

There are two course listings to choose from: "All Courses" includes both new high def "2.0" and old "1.6." Then there's the choice of "2.0" only. The "Basic" package gives about twelve 2.0 courses and many 1.6. At this point, the "expanded" package includes four or five additional 2.0 courses plus whatever are developed during the year. I read elsewhere that "Basic" will also have some rotation of 2.0 courses through the year (I guess that would be like a "check this out" promotion). 2.0 courses have to be downloaded, each 250 to 400 plus megabytes, during set up of Connect. If you've had e1.6 in the past, those old 1.6 courses will immediately load for play when selected. So you select "All Courses" or just "2.0" courses at setup and when selecting a course to play. To change settings like screen dimensions and hitting distance to screen, there is an "Admin" tab, which requires your chosen and preset pin number to access from the main settings screen. You have to set up an account at "portal.e6Connect.com" with email user, password, and pin. Then go to "bind a license" and input your license key (copy from SkyTrak confirmation email and paste in the Connect license key space).

EDIT: the TruGolf brand manager just contacted me, and told me the SkyGolf rep was WRONG. E6 connect may be rented for $300 or $600/yr with no other up-front cost:

SkyGolf chat answered my question on pricing. It's $2,500 PLUS $300 or $600 per year for PC ($1,500 up front for iOS users). How many SkyTrak owners would pick this over TGC2019 ($895 one-time)?

If that's the case SkyTrac has misled everyone that looks at E6 Connect. Currently no where that I can find does the website say you MUST purchase the one time license in order to be able to purchase a subscription. I was kind of assuming this was the case because that's how it is for every other E6 Connect platform.

JohnnyBill I edited the post with new pricing info from TruGolf. It's only $300 or $600/yr if rented.

LOL they really want people to pay $2500 plus the annual fee of $300 or $600. If you have a skuytrak I think you'd be better off using that $2500 toward a GC2 or Uneekor and playing anything but E6. maybe they'll come to their senses someday and lower the price

SkyTrak-SkyGolf Wow that’s nuts and I’m out need to be more transparent as when I called and spoke to someone I was told it’s £259 pound a year to subscribe.

yeah that's much more reasonable! If i had that option with Uneekor I would think about getting it myself

If you are reading this (Brand manager for Trugolf guy), make that happen

I've played on soft greens and balls react unrealistically and every stream I've watched from Rick I've seen the same thing. I think it's just exaggerated IMO

Yeah, try Hard greens. If like IRL, that should produce a bigger first bounce and kill most of the spinback.

Tried the demo last night, so far, like it a lot compared to TGC2019. Graphics are about on par, but the ball physics seem much much better than TGC. Also seems a little quicker to get through a hole, not sure if it’s quicker ball flight/shot screen etc, but was moving pretty quick.

Anyone know how to do an approach camera flyover on approach shots? (Similar to hitting the Q button in TGC)
I know how to do the full hole flyover, but it’s slow and doesn’t give a good look at the green. I like to see the green contours on short approach shots before hitting in.
