Sometimes when I'm hitting a mid iron in TGC 2019, the Skytrak will say that I sliced a ball that was most certainly a draw and it will fly the ball wayyyyy too long. 6 irons going 250 yards etc. Has anyone else had this issue?

Misreads like that in SkyTrak are usually the result of something reflective in view of the cameras, either club, shoes, background, etc., OR dust/dirt on the plastic lens cover of the unit.Last edited by GungHoGolf; 02-12-2020, 06:59 PM.- Ron at GunghoGolf.com - we specialize in TrackMan, FlightScope, Foresight, Uneekor, SkyTrak, Garmin, Bushnell, TGC, and E6 Connect. 512-861-4151 or email hello AT gunghogolf.com.

From everything I've read:- It doesn't like black or white shoes
- Especially shiny
- I bought red knit shoes, and I actually think it helped
- Ball must be clean, with logo facing the unit
- Mat balls seem to work best (once again, no shiny)
- I've personally found that the more square or rectangular the logo the better
- TP5x Pix and "Soccer Balls" either work great for me, or they completely don't. Depends on the mood of the ST that day I guess.
- I sure do like not having to "aim" the ball at the unit every time by using those balls, but alas, ST is finicky
- Any other "busy" logos (like my old Nike Karma balls) have my highest percent of mis/no reads

- Any shiny clubs
- (you should be picking up on a theme by now)
- Lately I have been using black Hockey stick tape on my more shiny clubs (Driver, 3W, Hybrid) and it seems to be helping
- Bright and Direct light
- Don't face any bright direct light at the unit, as it messes with the camera
- Also, it reflects off the ball, making it more shiny. (NO SHINY!)
- Low indirect light is OK, or at least not so bad
- Don't face any bright direct light at the unit, as it messes with the camera
- In specific reference to what you seem to be talking about, I've found where you put the ball in relation to the red dot is HUGE
- Depending on the shot (ball speed to be specific) the cameras (it only takes two pictures of the ball to compute) pick it up very different
- Generally speaking...
- High ball speed / Move back from dot
- Low ball speed / Move ahead of dot
- I also find that the higher the trajectory, the better it is to move the ball towards you, away from the unit.
- With all of these things, I'm talking 1/2" to 2" movement from the red dot at most to center of ball
- Generally speaking...
- Depending on the shot (ball speed to be specific) the cameras (it only takes two pictures of the ball to compute) pick it up very different
- Lastly, and most important
- Cup the balls
- (This is a movie reference joke, don't worry if you don't get it.

Anytime! Glad to help!
From what I've found, I need to relax EVERYTHING to help take what my ST gives me. I don't have the bucks to run with the Uneekor folks, and Mevo+ is way too new for this guy to get excited (if I even have the room), so it is what it is.
And... I'm gonna pistol whip the next person who says "Shenanigans"!
Pretty much everyone on this forum: "Hey SkyTrak, what's that restaurant you like with all the goofy shit on the walls?" 🤣
