  • Skytrak for putting

Do you guys find the alignment dots on SkyTrak to be completely accurate? I find that it’s not always accurate and perfectly parallel putts don’t always go on same line.

What tools/strategies/settings do you guys use to ensure the SkyTrak reads putts as accurately as possible.

Ive already levelled my unit, ensured ball logo faces unit and ball is slightly forward from the red dot (give or take 1/2 inch)

Do you notice a tendency for putts to stray more off line one way versus the other? I don't have TGC yet (still saving up the dough) but I've been messing around with WGT and the free demo of Fitness Golf lately and it seems that I pull a lot of putts to the left (right hander) in both of those. Certainly could be user error of course. I've heard people claim that Skytrak has a bit of a draw bias for full swings (haven't necessarily noticed that myself). Wondering if that could creep into the putting as well? I don't know but I'll be interested to see what others say.

      Dots are not accurate.
Best way to align is to chip and adjust trial and error.
Some users have reported that metal case causes huge HLA errors.
Proper height of ST likely critically important for reading putts.

If this is for putting in TGC19, there's a setting in the TGC settings file to causes TGC19 to assume the putts are straight (it must be ignoring HLA). The setting is in the "General" section of the TGC Settings file:

        [General]
        ...
        Putting Straight=ON
        ...

This file should be on your desktop with a name "Skytrak TGC Settings". Can also be found in C:\ProgramData\Protee United\TGCSimulator\TGCSimData\Server\Server.Data
