  • Polorizing filter for outdoor use?

    Hi all

I use my skytrak exclusively outdoors and I really struggle to get accurate readings in the sun for example my pw tracks for 100 yards but a well hit 4 hybrid tracks for 130 yards max. Very frustrating when I know I hit this around 180 in real life.

My question is has anyone tried putting a polorizing sheet over the camera strip on the skytrak to see if that has any effect on performance in the sun?

I don't mind taking one for the team but It would be good to get suggestions for the type of filter would work best from anyone who is in the know (Or to tell me it's a stupid idea).

The dark film on the ST is an IR filter. Obviously direct sunlight is a no-no, as it washes out any hope of getting contrast between the ball and the background. I couldn't tell you whether a polarizer would help, but I suspect is more about shading the unit than anything else.
