I have a Swing Bay from Rain or Shine Golf.It's 10ft wide 4.5 ft deep and 8 ft wide. My room has a 9.5 ft ceiling and is 14 ft wide by 20 ft in length.
My question is: 1 How far from the screen are you guys placing your ball for a swing?
2 Are you positioning your ball mid center of the screen or is it ok to position it off to the right for a right hander? I'm concerned about hitting the side frame of the swing bay with longer clubs.
Any input is appreciated.

1. Somewhere between 7 and 10 feet is the norm. It doesn't really matter with a skytrak. Just personal preference based upon your space and your screen bounceback.

2. Being offset to one side is fine and doesn't affect anything. The skytrak will still always start your ball in the middle of the screen no matter where you are hitting from.

im offset as don't have the space - as 3on3 said it doesn't affect it t all just need to get used hitting straight and not trying to hit in the middle of the screen. doesnt take long to get used to it

With the skytrak range you can also offset the view so your target line is inline with your hitting strip

I believe offset to be one of the causes of what many users think is "left bias". If hitting onto a screen, the center line should be moved to match. If hitting into a net, alignment sticks and/or an offset target.

I think that you are correct. SkyTrak has been reading everything way left on the practice tee. TGC 2019 seems to not have quite as much draw bias but still some. I normally hit a draw but these shots, even with short irons are 30-50 yards left. Thanks for the info.

I've put small piece of tape on the screen as an aiming point. You could also angle the mat and ST so you are aiming at the middle. Also, I think ST lets you offset the projected image.
