  • Weird Skytrak software issue

    The Story

    I received my Skytrak a week ago and everything worked fine. This week after their maintenance(unsure if related) the software started having issues. During this time I also updated my graphics card driver, so I thought that could be the issue but I rolled it back to no avail. I contacted support and they were not very helpful. They said network issue, it isn't as it happens in USB mode too. They said try another device, I can't this is a 1300$ PC and it feeds directly to my projector. Then they said they cannot help. I tried install of the 32 bit as well, which is dumb because I'm on a 64 bit system.

    The Symptoms

    The software boots up fine. It connects to the skytrak and verifies the license. The problem starts when I click on History(complete lock up), Practice, Challenge, Game Improvement(loads the page but very slow and unresponsive on certain parts, will not register shot with top red light for infinity after hit).

    The weird thing is I can play skytrak TGC just fine. I played 72 holes on that yesterday without a single issue. Its just their main software doesn't work.

    Can anyone help? I dont want to spend 2k on a device to get told from their support, "Sorry hook it up to another device".

    I would completely remove the skytrak software & remove any leftover folders from it, sure someone knows the names of them. Reboot, download & install again

      It sounds like it may be syncing everything again due to uninstalling/reinstalling...Try installing the correct 64-bit version and let it sit on the dashboard connected to the internet for 15 minutes or so (maybe longer if you have a ton of shot data). Then give it a shot.

          I tried this. I have around 200 shots in history, so not too many. Still locked up. I deleted everything in /Program Files/Skytrak after doing uninstall, reinstalled 64-bit. It works on mobile just fine but I need my PC as it is connected to the Projector.

            One more thing, you gave me an idea. I logged out and "Use as Guest", now it works fine. Is there maybe an issue on the backend with faulty data or a blocked api call coming through?

            Still cannot use my main account though and I would like to, but progress. Thanks Seth.
