  • Skytrak Shipping Delays

    The Flightscope forum has a thread for shipping delays on the Mevo+, so I figured it would make sense to have one for those of us waiting on a Skytrak.

    It would be nice if some people who recently received theirs would chime in and state their ordered and received dates etc.


    The official Canadian distributor has pushed the date of the next shipment a few times in the last 2 weeks. It used to be Sept 15th, then Sept 25th, Sept 30th, now pushed back to Oct 15th.


    My build is almost finished and I am eager to try it. I'm thinking of grabbing an R Motion to just test my setup, and since it has some kind of integration with Skytrak, it wouldn't be a net loss once I receive my unit.

    I think it's very possible that they do that. They guy keeps saying that the factory ships units in batches, so it very well may be. I would've ordered direct as well if I knew. I would've happily spent the extra $150 for taxes/shipping if that meant I was going to get it 6 weeks earlier. I'm starting to get very impatient.

    • I ordered 12/30 direct from SkyTrak and was told at that time that it was around 4-6 weeks by the representative even though the site said 10-12..... I called 2 weeks ago and was told that with my order number, I was 'really close' and 'very soon'. I talked to someone yesterday and they took the 16-20 week stance. Huge kick in the gut if this is true.... April/May? Awful if it takes that long.

        Dude, I feel your pain. I sure hope that's not the case and you get it sooner than that. It seems like orders are almost completely random with some getting them earlier and some getting them later. Looks like it doesn't matter where you order it from. Curse covid!!!

        • BeastMode I really, really hope they are just being conservative. The sad reality is that with the madness of covid, there's been a run on pretty much every single piece of sports equipment (18 month back-order on Santa Cruz mountain bikes which I also "need"!) but when this finally passes, they'll be a glut of people trying to unload dusty sports equipment at deep discounts. I'm not so good with waiting...where's the Amazon Prime option?

            Haha! Yes, that's absolutely true! I guess the only thing I can say is that this is a good exercise of patience. Please continue to post updates as I will do the same.

            • Oh man, I just went back and looked and you ordered on 12/7? From a third party vendor though, right (Top Shelf)? That does not bode well for me if you don't have yours yet unless direct orders from SkyTrak are quicker. This sucks....

                Yeah, I ordered mine from Top Shelf Golf on 12/7 (just over 10 weeks ago). We'll see when I actually get it. I think I'm going to live in my garage once I have it. Farewell wife and kids, it was nice knowing you.

                • I ordered from Rain or Shine on 12/26. They have told me a couple times 10-12 weeks even with the longer delays sky trak is posting now. Basically sometime in March for me. I've seen from this page and others, ordering direct is the way to go. It seems to be faster but I'm so deep into waiting now that I'll just keep waiting.

                  • Well, I ordered direct so fingers crossed but I'm not going to hold my breath. I'm just going to sit here and hit refresh every 3 minutes on the shipping status page.....

                    • Ordered mine December 5th from par2pro in edmonton. The unit was supposed to arrive feb 15th. Called par2pro on the 17th and was informed the supplier said it would be “soon” maybe next week.. i doubt it....

                      • Hey all. New poster, building my sim currently.

                        with the delay times I sought out eBay. Seeing used ones and new ones go in excess of $1000 over MSRP was wild.

                        I took a shot in the dark and emailed various small similator shops and hit on gimmesimilator. Ordered 7 days ago got it 4 days after for retail.

                        I would advise shooting out some emails as some of the back stock has to be shops ordering to refill supply

                          Very smart! I felt partially obligated to go with Top Shelf Golf because I reached out to Jay (@a98cr125) from Golf Simulator Videos and he personally took the time to help me decide between the Skytrak and the Mevo+, and they are one of his partners.

                          • Ok, just got off the phone with TopShelfGolf. Once again, they don't have a date. I decided to try to get some more information about their process. He said they (SkyTrak) changed how orders are fulfilled. Before, they (TopShelf or other third party vendors) would forward orders directly to SkyTrak and SkyTrak would handle the fulfillment. Starting Dec 7th (yes, the same day I ordered my unit), SkyTrak asked 3rd party vendors to submit "invoices" of orders. I guess with every monthly batch they receive, they divide out the units to vendors (and direct customers) in the order of invoice date. So now third party vendors are responsible for shipping out units from the SkyTrak warehouse to their customers. He said they already do this with other vendors (Flightscope for example), so they're familiar with the process, but they've never done this with SkyTrak. I was asked once again to call back in a week, supposedly they should have a date by then.

                            On a different note, I did reach out to gimmesimilator as their website claimed they had 14 units in stock, however they're out as well. They said they're expecting about 3 more units next week, but they charge tax and $25 shipping (so almost an additional $200 for me). So I decided that I might as well just wait at this point.

                            • BeastMode Thanks for digging into this.... so does that mean your order was perhaps not entered until the end of December when a batch of invoices were submitted? I really wish that SkyTrak could offer more clarity on order status. As much as I want to get up and running ASAP, like you I'm not really keen to pay a bunch of extra money not knowing when my direct SkyTrak order might ship. With my luck, I would commit to buying from someone else and get a SkyTrak shipping notification on the same day! Fortunately I've been out of town for more than a month scrambling on a client project so I couldn't have set things up and played anyway.

                                I'm honestly not sure - and I don't think he would've admitted to that even if that was the case. Perhaps they forward on the invoices as they come in, but don't fulfill them until they reach a certain number? Who knows??? That would be great if they could provide a little more info on where things are with these orders. From they way things sound, I think I should have it by mid March.
