    Replacement protective film

    Hello,
Happy user for about 2 years. I have shanked the ball many times right into the unit as has my very hard swinging 13 year old. As such we have managed to bend one of the metal case’s tabs into the screen causing a crack and bubble.

Hopefully it is just in the protective screen. Thankfully the unit still works fine.

I chatted with customer service and got sort of ambiguous information about purchasing a replacement. At first the guy said essentially - “sorry, you cannot buy a replacement.” After some follow up questions he suggested they are out of them and I would get an email when they were available. He could not provide a price which I thought was strange.

Has anyone ever been able to purchase one of these?
    How much did you pay?
if they aren’t available - has anyone found a replacement - like a particular model of a phone screen or something similar?

    thanks,
    Michael

I could be wrong, but wondering if it filters out visible light and let's IR pass. If so, a phone screen won't work.

Lol, sorry this post will be of absolutely no help to you, but I am happy to see that the metal case works. I pretty much immediately shanked a ball right into my wall when testing out my net and mat... pretty sure that ball would have smoked the skytrak if I had it.

Yea. You can see this metal case has been very beat up. Despite the hours of practice I still smash that hung every once in a while. When my son plays - yikes!

I’ll admit I am concerned not a single person is responding: “Oh, I got one no problem for $x.00 just be patient.”
Makes me think I’ll never get one. 😖

They make automotive protective film that goes over the front hoodsb protecting from rocks. You could use one of those.

No idea on straight from sky golf. Potential alternative.

At least it's purely cosmetic and the skytrak still works fine.
