My Sky Trak misses a lot of shots. Yes, I know about the logo, the unit is in a shop with stable background, on the mat. Any suggestions?

Make sure the unit is at the same height as your mat. It has to be the unit itself and not the case.
I had a lot of no-reads when I had it set up too high.

I just bought the fiberbuilt 7x4 mat which has the extension piece for a sim unit which is the exact same height as the hitting area. My question is, the ST in the case will sit higher even in the lowest setting right? Without the case you are perfectly level but with it? I know plenty use the case on an even surface so clearly I'm wrong but why?

My unit is sitting right on my mat, and I don't notice misses on any particular club/swing vs any others. It's not better on teed shots, which suggests unit height shouldn't be the issue

Is the bottom of the skytrak level with the hitting surface? Just because its on the same surface doesn't mean it's level with that surface. You should have the screws all the way up.
You should expect 1 or 2 no-reads out of 20 shots. Any more than that and you have a setup issue.

If your unit is sitting on the mat, when you hit the mat might move ever so slightly (or compress, shake etc), and blur the image from the SkyTrak. As per wbond suggestion, it should be isolated - next to your mat and raised to correct level if necessary rather than sitting on it. If it’s the same with driver tho, that’s probably not your only issue...
Check for IR reflective items in the view of the camera - behind you to your left for RH golfer - a trail cam with night vision is good for this. It can be quite surprising what comes up, some clothes, shoes, golf bag and metal in particular can cause unexpected issues... I had a pair of trousers which glowed like the sun under IR light - caused untold problems until I figured it out, haha.
Mine pretty much never misses a shot and I don’t pay any attention to logo on ball or any rubbish like that. Occasional flop shot might fail to register, but that’s because of ball position, launch angle and failing to trigger the IR curtain...
