Custom Remote Control (or Joystick) for SkyTrak TGC2019

Hi All,

New to the forum.

I've seen lots of great posts on arcade style control boxes for TGC2019. Has anyone seen any good examples of smaller DIY controllers, like the size of a TV remote control or joystick?

I'm interested in a custom DIY small controller, not something that's already available like a pocket keyboard that's already on the market.

There's several options that have surfaced recently (quick forum search) that will produce what you are looking for. I did a similar search a few weeks ago, but several people were recommending VoiceAttack as a better alternative. The app can be had as a free download that supports up to 20 voice commands. I ended up downloading the demo, and ultimately purchased the $10 license to have more commands and profiles. I'm still tweaking my commands, but today I was able to play an 18 hole round in TGC2019 without having to touch the keyboard at all.

I have done 4 basic command categories:
1) What's in the Bag - Driver through putter
2) View commands - scout, approach, hole view, etc
3) Movement commands - Move left and right (from small movements to large sweeps)
4) Menu commands - Mulligans, replay, escape/main menu

I purchased a basic USB microphone and 10' USB extension cable to place it near my hitting area to avoid having to yell my commands. I will share my command list with actions in case you decide to go this route and want to copy/import some of these to give them a try.

Thanks, I searched around too but didn't find what I was looking for. Voice commands would be cool, but I'm looking for a DIY remote control that can be customized and would fit in a pocket. I will do some research on my own too and report back if there's something worth sharing.

You can repurpose a presenter remote to trigger TGC2019 actions.

I recently downloaded Voice Attack and have been using it with a Webcam (mic). It's been great -- I never have to put the club down to issue a command. The software is only $10, but there's also a trial version. Takes about an hour to voice train and program the commands, but it has been a huge improvement to ST.
