Hi, just finished my SIM room today and played 9 holes. It was a little frustrating. It seems certain clubs don’t register when I swing. My 5 hybrid and my putter. It sometimes takes 15 swings to see a result. All 3 lights are green and I’m on the laser so I’m not sure if there is something else I could do? Sometimes it takes 20 putts to move the ball. Again very frustrating. I see the laser hitting the ball and all 3 lights are green. Can someone explain? Other clubs seem to be ok for the most part like my sand wedge and 8 iron. When I use the driving range mode in the skytrak app everything works so I’m beginning to think it has to do with the TGC interface? Any help or advice is appreciated. I’ll send pics soon.
Need help with skytrak and TGC 2019

For putting, place the ball 5 or 6 inches behind the dot and then roll the ball over the dot after the strike. Don't putt with the ball on the dot.
For wedges and high-lofted chips, place the ball just slightly in front of the dot. Half an inch or so.
Place the ball so the logo faces the Skytrak.
Is your Skytrak at the correct height? Is it zeroed out for tilt and roll?
Also, how are you connected to TGC? (network, direct or USB)

I have the skytrak on the hitting mat so I’m not sure about correct height. I have all the levelers screwed down and it appears to be level. Should I adjust the levelers up? I am in USB mode. What’s wei4d is I do not seem to have the problem when I use the skytrak driving range although I do not putt. Also it appears to happen more when I use my 5 hybrid and almost always with my putter. I’ll try what you suggested. Thanks

It's usually not recommended to have it on the same surface as where you're hitting. Try moving it off the hitting mat and then adjusting the legs to level it with the hitting surface. Make sure the bottom of the Skytrak itself is level with the mat, and not just the bottom of the case. Something is definitely up. About 2 no-reads per 18 holes is roughly what you should expect with Skytrak.Originally posted by Joe M View PostI have the skytrak on the hitting mat so I’m not sure about correct height. I was having some mis-reads with putts, high loft wedges and with my 3-wood. When I was having a lot of consecutive mis-reads, I found that the device wasn't actually level and ensuring it was level helped out a lot. For ball placement, for putts and high loft wedges, I found putting the ball about 1 inch in front of the dot (closer to the screen) helped clear up mis-reads. For the 3 wood, 5 wood, hybrid and driver, I place about 1 inch behind the dot (away from the screen). That seemed to clear up things for me quite a bit.
I also found that if start out straight into TGC2019 driving range and I start getting a lot of mis-reads with my wedges (which is my startup routine), I may log out of TGC altogether, and then go into ST driving range to ensure I am getting consistent reads. Then I will log out of ST and go back into TGC and I tend to get very few mis-reads after that. I don't know why/how that happens and it may be purely coincidental, but it almost seems to be "priming the pump" so to speak.
Not sure if any of this will help in your case but might be worth giving it a try.Japan

You should see identical ball data in TGC2019 and skytrak range. It is likely that your unit is sitting to high. Put the feet in upside down. The actual unit should be same height as mat. Putting, 4 inches behind the dot seems to work best for most. You could turn on auto-putting for now so you can enjoy your game while you sort this out.

thank you.....My hitting mat is 5 feet by 10 feet and I plan on using a divot action strip inside the mat. I was told earlier in the thread that skytrak should not be place on hitting mat. This was the first time I heard this since the skytrak came with little instruction. If I invert the legs will it be ok to have the skytrak on the same mat?

I have used it on the mat with and without the FMJ. Currently, my hitting mat consists of two strips side-by-side and I actually hit off of the mat closest to me and then have the ST with the two front legs of the FMJ sitting on the 2nd mat and the back leg sitting on the floor with everything adjusted to level.Japan
