Been testing the Skytrak with E6. Connection is easily done through wifi. Bill data is measured and fed to E6 using its algo's. Delay is about 3 seconds. Probably ok with most folks but those that expect it immediate may be annoyed. They are working on improving the shot to show time. Chipping works fine. No putting as of yet. One thing that is critical is having the unit exactly aligned to the target line. If off it will affect the horizontal azimuth. Right now they don't have the alignment assist option available within E6 but I suggest they allow it to make it easier to align. Overall however it works fine.

The only thing that got my spin down was a xstiff tour shaft in my Ping I25.

And ball flight was very similar except for 3 out of probably 50 shots. Tried all the woods and irons and the numbers were very close. Now what wasn't and it had to do with the HD golf was. The swing speed was roughly 6 mph difference and the yardage was up to 15 yard or more on driver higher in HD golf But that probably has to do with it doesn't calculate the back spin of the ball. Owner says it does but at the time I didn't use tape on the ball for it to calculate that. So over all I'm quite pleased now. Taking it to Edmonton this weekend and comparing it to a gc2 and what ever golftec has. Going in for lesson on how to get the back spin down. Read a few pointers on line and it helps for a couple of swings then it shoots up to 3500rpm

Try not to hit the ball low in the face. Hit above center towards the crown to reduce spin. Never hit down have a positive AoA so tee it up and forward.
I tried a G30 LS it spun no lower than my old 913 D3. D3 is low spin anyway. Taylormade M1 is very very good.

Ah maybe that's why my spin rate so high. I was trying to hit the ball lower on the club face to keep spin rate down. But was actually doing the opposite.what I was trying to do is hit the ball off the tee with out the tee moving which I got pretty good at with a rubber tee. Lol.Last edited by Willymakit; 11-13-2015, 07:03 PM.

Glad you got a good unit back Willy. It's unfortunate that some have received duds. The properly working units really are quite accurate. Will be even more so in the next update when they boost the driver ball flight algorithm slightly. I too have a high spin problem, Willy. My biggest improvement was actually to tee the ball HIGHER. This encourages you to swing up on the ball as well as hitting it higher off the face. I use 3 1/4 inch tees. Something worth trying out. That's part of the fun of having a launch monitor at home now, endless experimenting. Haha. I now find myself being a total driver hoe, comparing different driver and shaft combinations. My wallet hates me right now.Originally posted by Willymakit View PostYes I did get a replacement and its night and day compared to the other one. I downloaded the E6 demo and attempted to play via my laptop. Total frustration with the slow speed of my computer. I3 structure and am shopping for a I7 desktop in anticipation of TGC release.
Question for you guys that have good computer power. Which Sim partner do you currently prefer. WGT or E6? I'm stuck playing only WGT because of the molasses slow speed of my current computer. It would take forever for the hole to render and I'd sit for what seemed like eternity to see my shot. I did like the driving range and am looking forward to something other than SkyTrak driving range for variety.

I only used WGT demo when it was available, so not much of a comparison. However, i do like E6. Coming from opti and P3, graphics to me are a huge upgrade. I don't see an issue with it. I also don't have a great projector and it's going onto PR20 at the moment, so it doesn't look that great on the impact screen, but on the monitor I think it looks pretty good. I really like their driving range, you can do targets and adjust the size of the target as well. Game play is great, it has a lot of options for each individual. Agreed, on the slowness, i was using an old computer and it was unplayable how slow it was. I got a great deal on another computer and it runs awesome. No issues at all.

I bought and tried WGT and it's just OK, the weird camera angles drove me crazy. I installed and played E6 over the weekend and was very satisfied with that SIM. Felt like you were playing golf. It ran lightning fast but I have a pretty good system. Below are my specs:
i7-4790
Asus Strix GTX970 4gb card
8gb ram 1600 DDR3
MSI Gaming 5 motherboard
Samsung EVO 850 SSD drive
750w gold rated power supply

I did not have any issues while downloading ...
I'm still very pleased with e6 : just waiting for final release, I think I'll buy it when released to be able to play more games (especially par three courses for my son).
I just hope it will be released before winter will begin (dec20).

I don't think you select anything before the download. I believe you select skytrak when installing.

My E6 demo expired yesterday so I figured I'd reset/reload Win10 and then re-download E6 for another 30 day trial.
I decided to first try setting the calendar in Windows back a couple of days...,, IT WORKED!!!!!!!!

Has anybody had the e6 demo running on a laptop? I want tgc or e6 (if they come out and have similar pricing though i do know e6 is supposedly higher). It is pretty crucial to my setup to use a laptop. I will have no projector or screen just the laptop. May get a larger screen if I use it frequently. Protee pretty consistent about saying only a 1800$ and up laptop will work for tgc. Wondered about people's experience with e6 and 1.6 demo with laptops. Apologize if this has been covered somewhere. Thanks
