Been testing the Skytrak with E6. Connection is easily done through wifi. Bill data is measured and fed to E6 using its algo's. Delay is about 3 seconds. Probably ok with most folks but those that expect it immediate may be annoyed. They are working on improving the shot to show time. Chipping works fine. No putting as of yet. One thing that is critical is having the unit exactly aligned to the target line. If off it will affect the horizontal azimuth. Right now they don't have the alignment assist option available within E6 but I suggest they allow it to make it easier to align. Overall however it works fine.

Looking for help!

Is your skytrak in Network Mode or Direct Mode?
I suggest using Network Mode. Once that is setup (using the SKytrak app to configure it), then
1) Close skytrap app in PC or ipad
2) Turn on Skytrak, wait until middle light turns orange. That means its connected to your wifi network.
3) Launch E6 demo
4) Select practice...at that point, the red laser light should turn on indicating you are connected.
Its fast, I find E6 connects faster than the Skytrak PC app.

Mac Issues with e6 Install???? Hi All! Long time reader, first time post here... thanks for all of the information so far. Like most of you, I'm really pumped for the sims coming out.
I've been trying to get e6 going on my Mac Mini with boot camp and I've scoured this thread a bunch of times. I'm not an idiot when it comes to computers, but I can't get the e6 demo to ask me which hardware I use when I install it.
I've tried downloading it about 3 or 4 times and even tried what looked like a newer version yesterday(updates were available on my previous install so I just started fresh with a new download) but got the same result.
I double click the .rar file, it uncompresses it, and then I double click on the install file and it goes right to installation... it doesn't even ask me where I want to install the files much less which simulator hardwareI want to use. I'm wondering if this is a Bootcamp/Mac issue although I've read that other's have it going on Macs already... not a Mac Mini though. I can get the Skytrak software working so I know it can communicate with my Mac. I can't shake the feeling I'm missing something silly here.
The download page I use is https://trugolf.com/e6/demo/. I think this is the right one as I've tried following links from this thread before in one of my multiple attempts to try something different. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm trying to hold off not paying for WGT. I know the Mac Mini isn't nearly powerful enough and I'm looking into a better machine long term but this is a short term solution I'm trying to rig up. Thanks again!

It is right when you start the install. It says trugolf in a drop down menu and you click that box and select skytrak. It will grey out the box to the right when you select skytrak on the right. If I remember correctly it says trugolf on the left and something else to the right.Last edited by Tbernardmd; 11-19-2015, 12:58 PM.

Hmmm... this is odd. I don't have any drop down menu to choose from. I double click E6_Demo and the only two choices I get is Install or Cancel. I took a screen shot but will have to start a new post below. Thanks already for the info...

My PC does recognize the USB as Rapsodo....but when I open the E6 I can not get it connected.Originally posted by Tekbud View PostIs your pc picking up the skytrak at all? As in, when you connect it via USB does your pc recognize there is something attached?
I am curious that I open the E6 folder after downloading, and I saw many files related to Trackman. ..however I made sure I selected SkyTrak during installation. ..and I have done it many times

Don't worry about your PC not recognizing it as Rapsodo. Mine doesn't either and it still works. Try connecting your Skytrak in network mode. As long as your Mac is connected to the same network be it wifi or ethernet it will find your Skytrak and rather quickly I might add. There is a bootstrap that launches right before E6 game and it connects to the Skytrak. If it finds it, it will close, if not it will keep trying over and over.

Guys, I have been struggling with the same issue as Johan14. Last night, I finally got E6 and Skytrak working on my older laptop. Here is what happened to me and how I fixed it:
1. As TekBud indicated, my cause is that Windows was not recognizing SkyTrak as a USB device because the Windows 7 did not have the proper Device Driver for SkyTrak.
Johan14, you can verify if this is the same cause by:

Sorry, I somehow posted it before I finish the notes :-).
Here are the steps to verify if SkyTrak is recognized by Windows:
1. Have your SkyTrak connected to the USB and turn it on
2. Go to Device Manager on the Windows and expand the USB device node
3. You will see the Rapsodo Launch Monitor - if the full name of Rapsodo Launch Monitor is display and there is no Warning or error icon beside it, then there is no issue with Windows recognizing SkyTrak
4. If there is a Warning or Error Icon, then update the device driver.

Thanks for the instructions but I didn't have any luck. I double click on E6_Demo.exe (as shown in the graphic background) and the only choice I have to click on is Install or Cancel. I tried running it with compatibility mode on for Windows 7.. which I what I'm using by the way in Bootcamp for Mac mini. It's also the 64 bit version. I've also tried Running as Administrator. So it sounds like I'm missing a screen BEFORE this screen maybe? Or this screen is missing the drop down menu? Thanks again!!

SUCCESS!! I used WINRAR to expand it this time instead of just double clicking the downloaded file. Not sure why that made a difference but it did. It finally asked me which simulator option to install so progress! I'll probably have the driver fight now but that's a step in the right direction.

That's great Johan14! Mine seems to be working much better with the PC App but still no luck with e6. If so, wireless or USB? Mine keeps showing the WinUSB Driver and I haven't seen e6 look like it's accessed the skytrak in any way. e6 isn't giving me the error message at least since the last install of not having a simulator at least but can't do anything with it yet other than PC App. Did you get it going with e6?

Maybe this has been covered before but for the demo course can you play with more than one person at a time (multiplayer) or is it single player? I have not purchased a Skytrak yet, been waiting on the official release of the PC software, now that its out I am considering going ahead and pulling the trigger.

I've played with my son and we used different tees as well.

So update after skytrak firmware version 1.4.
Putting is MUCH better, no left or right push off the club face.
Still can't putt from the fringe (this is an E6 issue - I'm guessing).
The other issue I have without being able to putt from the fringe is chipping for 12 to 20 feet. The software putts backspin on a lofted club and sucks it back. You are forced to chip with an 8 or 9 iron.

When I was using E6 demo with my Flightscope Xi I found short shots to have excessive spin, like crazy spin.
Sounds like it's an E6 thing then if both Flightscope and Skytrak experience the same thing.
Seems the spin thats read (both those units measure spin) is not being used, but rather increase or multiplied to a higher value.
I know I can't spin a 8 yard pitch shot with 11k+ rpm of backspin.

That's been my biggest issue. Hit a great shot to a tight pin, finishes in fringe and your toast. One night I had 16' must have tried 15 times no reads. Put the ball back a few inches no dice. Forced to start hitting it harder and harder until it reads. End up with 15 feet coming back and a bogey...grrrrrrr
