    Skytrak- WiFi issues

    Good morning everyone.

I recently purchased a Skytrak. I’m having a ton of issues setting up the WiFi on the unit via my iPad Pro.

The app simply doesn’t populate any nearby WiFi networks when, in reality, there are many broadcasting. When I attempt to add manually, the unit blinks red, followed by yellow, then back to red, and never connects.

For reference, my network is a mesh network (Eero Pro) which allows both 2.4 and 5.0 connections. Short network name, no space, no special characters. I did a quick search in the forum and noticed that some folks have issues with Eero, while others have none. I wonder if I’m doing something wrong.

If anyone would be kind enough to lend a hand, I’d appreciate it.

    Thanks.

I think I read where guys would use their phone as a hot-spot to test connectivity versus home wifi. Maybe consider trying this? Do you have an option to take it to an office, relative, or neighbor to test on a non-mesh system?

Thanks for the reply. I tried the hotspot and it still wouldn’t connect. I tried a non mesh router and it connected,
but I had to manually add the network.

Overall, I find it odd that no networks populate when doing a search.

Have you tried reaching out to SkyTrak_Seth or any of their guys?

I reached out to customer support. The woman I spoke to wasn’t much help. Suggested buying another router. Even if my mesh router is an issue, it still doesn’t explain why no other network or hotspot shows up when searching.

I know you said you reset it multiple times, but you might try these steps exactly: https://gunghogolf.com/articles/skyt...ction-problems

Figured it out. Eero Secure was stopping it from connecting. Just fiddled around with it a bit and it finally connected via adding the network manually.

Thanks for everyone who chimed in.
